Front desk and shuttle driver were quite polite. Food was pretty good. Rooms were clean and nice.

I was pretty disappointed by our stay at the Saint Augustine Staycity Aparthotels. It's listed as 4-star hotel on Hotels.com, probably because they pressure you to rate the place immediately when you check out, and I just did not find that it lived up to that rating. The staff was friendly, but the apartment was not in great condition. There was an infestation of drain flies/gnats in the bathroom and kitchen sink, so they were dying all over the place. Luckily, we didn't need the kitchen for cooking, because that would have been quite unsanitary. The tub in the bathroom was all scuffed up and brown on the bottom, and very curved - it would be dangerous for an older person to stand there to shower. The beds were hard as rocks and strangely uneven, so I often felt like I would slide out. We booked this apartment because it came with a washer/dryer, but one load of laundry was still damp after 6 hours of washing/drying. I've used washer/dryers all over the world so I get that it's not going to be as efficient as one in the US, but this was the worst I've encountered. That said, the location was very walkable, and we did have a lot of space. It was also cheaper than a lot of places. I just kind of ended up wishing we had spent a little more money for somewhere else, because for what we spent I didn't think it was worth it.

The staff were snippy, not helpful at all. The room was very small with one of us having to crawl over the other to get in and out of bed. There were no glasses or facecloths in the room. I was told there were no facecloths and to get my own glasses at the bar downstairs. It was very clean but that is the only positive. I will not stay there again
