It was all very friendly and convenient. (We took breakfast elsewhere as we have two little dogs)

Lovely, quiet location right by the river. Local shops are a 5 mins walk away. Nice breakfast set-up where you can sit inside, or outside on a lovely balcony with a few tables.

Overall, the hotel was good and I had a pleasant stay. I did not receive any VIP benefits such as a room upgrade or similar perks. As an Expedia Gold Member, I was expecting at least one VIP offer from the hotel, but no benefits were provided at all. The only thing I received was early check-in Additionally, the hotel did not provide slippers in the room. For a hotel of this quality, I consider this a significant downside, as even basic amenities like slippers are expected.

Only light in the room was from desk lamp, floor lamp and bedside lamps. Even with all lamps on, the room was just dimly lit. No dresser for clothes, just a deep, dark cubby cabinet with 1 shelf. Easier to "live" out of our suitcases the 4 nts we were there than have to bend over, searching cabinet with a flashlight for clothes to wear. Breakfast was ok. No traditional German Brötchen. There were some small "voll korn" rolls which were nice, but otherwise just mini kaiser rolls and rolls COVERED in poppy seeds and sesame seeds. By end of breakfast each morning those were the only rolls left. Obviously not a popular item. Suggest they nix those overly seeded rolls for some traditional brötchen. Also no elevator to the ground floor, so had to carry suitcases up/down flight of stairs. Not handicap friendly. Overall rating would be a 3.8.

Massive thank you to the man who allowed me to check in super early after my 5:45am flight, and for storing my luggage in your staff office when I went to the spa (you really are an angel). Exceptional breakfast (croissants, breads, jams, hams, cheeses, porridge/muesli, eggs, fruit and so much more). Lovely spacious room. The bed lights were a little strange - came on sporadically but that was a little blip. Hotel surroundings is quiet as it's about 15 min walk from Central Cologne station but as a woman, I didn't necessarily feel comfortable walking back to the hotel at night on my own. It was thankfully okay but most likely better in the summer months when it's not dark around 6pm. Loved the 24/7 bar/shop where you can pay as you go for items. Thank you all, but especially to the young man on the morning shift of 14 Nov and 17 Nov. Highlight - the spa, and only 4eu!!! Day made!

Excellent spa, very friendly staff.

Wonderful staff. Modern clean hotel and walkable to everything. breakfast was amazing. The beds were extremely hard though and pillows flat. The drains did not drain.
