Chiemgau Beach Vacations

The location and direct access to public transit and the central train station was great. The room size and bed were comfortable. The environment stayed quiet. The breakfast was always very complete, and they always had a jar of cookies in the lobby that were very yummy. The design of the building was a little jumbled. I needed to take 2 different elevators to reach my 3 story room along with 2 different short stairways. This can be challenging with luggage in tow. The staff at the desk was helpful in assisting me navigate this path with my heavy luggage, but still an inconvenience. One evening the 2nd elevator was completely incapacitated and I needed to walk up 3 flights of stairs.

Staff was great and spoke English, room was small but very nice and clean, paid breakfast buffet is your typical overseas breakfast with cold cuts, cheeses, breads, sweat bread, juices, coffee, fruits and yogurt. The only difference is eggs were made to order fried, omelet, or scrambled. Overall loved my stay there as it was very near to everything and next to the station.

This was a great place to stay and enjoy the Bavarian Alps views. We truly enjoyed the town and resort. They were a very professional staff and great atmosphere.

The check-in process was good and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. I also really enjoyed the fresh mountain air and the beautiful surroundings. However, I was disappointed by the size of the room and bathroom. The bed was also too soft for my liking, and I woke up with body aches, which made it difficult to feel well rested. The most disappointing aspect, although admittedly something outside the hotel’s control, was the church bells. They rang for approximately two minutes at 6:00 a.m., and then continued to ring every 15 minutes until late at night, which made it very difficult to enjoy a relaxing stay. Unfortunately, we could not simply close the windows to block out the noise because there is no air conditioning or other air circulation in the room. We wanted to keep the windows open to enjoy the fresh mountain air, but doing so meant being awakened by the very loud bells early each morning and hearing them repeatedly throughout the day and into the night. Had it not been for the church bells and the uncomfortable bed, we would have enjoyed our stay much more. I understand and respect the local culture and the tradition of the church bells, but given how heavily visited the area is by tourists, I do wonder whether there could be some consideration for guests, particularly with the very early morning ringing and the frequent bells continuing until late at night. Best hotel in Munich with a great location. Super helpful and friendly staff in the heart of Old Town. Would recommend to all.
