This exquisite little hotel is an architectural gem, beautifully decorated, comfortable rooms with sumptuous bathrooms, designed for luxury getaways. No food service is offered, except a token continental morning starter, but ample dining is available within walking distance. Hotel staff is very helpful, friendly and discreet. We would gladly have spent more nights here, and heartily recommend the Carlton for a unique experience.

Lovely hotel stayed many times

Staff friendly but pool and spa out of action - although staff said the fault had just occurred- after reading reviews it seems to be a common occurrence.

Room was nicely decorated. But was very cold when we arrived. Turned the heating on and then couldn’t get it down again…was extremely hot! Shower was lukewarm at best. Pub was ok, but very busy and loud.
