The hotel was great!

The hotel and rooms themselves were really nice. However the pictures are misleading as there are various room sizes and obviously the pictures available show the largest of each room type - which based on our experience wasn't what you actually get. Its worth paying attention to the hotel being a live event place and music hub - the music was incredibly loud and if located in the newer building, good luck getting to sleep! They did accommodate us moving rooms, but we barely slept for the first three nights. The rooms we had in the original building was quieter than the room in the newer building - where we could hear constant base and loud music for three nights each time we went to bed, stopping after midnight, around 1am. The breakfast has decreased in size and options considerably from what the photos were showing, and what friends had stated on a previous visit, and was a slight disappointment. There was still some choice, but it wasn't great for a 4* hotel. All this said the staff were helpful and friendly and accommodating in moving our room when we raised this. We wouldn't go back.

Lovely clean single room with a balcony - totally unexpected! Small neat shower room. Other reviewers mention noise from the jazz in the bar on Thursdays and Saturdays but this finished at 10pm both evenings. Generally we didn’t hear a peep from anyone. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Porridge was very congealed by 8.30am so this could do with being renewed more regularly but this was my only criticism. Staff were extremely pleasant and responsive.

Beautiful property super helpful staff!

I highly recommend staying at Villa Dagmar. It was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. The location is central and convenient, close to amazing shops, restaurants, and cafes, and it’s also connected to the food hall. We found ourselves walking but the T-bahn is very close, as are tram and bus stops if needed. The service and cleanliness of this hotel is unlike any other. We were worried about the noise from the windows but the rooms were silent and the bed was so comfortable, we had a well-rested stay.

Convenient location (near central train station). Great bar/restaurant (excellent food and service). Great buffet breakfast. Clean, modern and (relatively for Europe) spacious rooms. Staff was friendly, helpful (and of course spoke fluent English). Highly recommended if you're going to be in that area of Stockholm.
