We spent four nights here and it was an amazing experience. This is your classic European hotel located in the heart of historic Copenhagen. It has everything you would expect from a hotel of this caliber, from an outstanding organic breakfast to a hosted happy hour. The staff is warm an welcoming from the minute you step into the lobby until you leave. They all spoke excellent English that this older traveler really appreciated. If you plan to visit historic Copenhagen this is the place to stay.

What I liked: The staff was so helpful, positive and professional. All of them were excellent, but particularly Brian, Pascal and Meia (sp?). Room for improvement: the Gym which I used three times needs a pull up bar. Overall the experience was an 11 out of 10 (outstanding!).

Breakfast was fresh every morning with lots of choices to chose from. Staffing was excellent in all fazes . Rooms were clean .very comfortable. Impressive view from the balcony overlooking the city center of Copenhagen. I would recommend it to everyone who is look for a great hotel to stay at. I wish could have stayed 1 more week. Very nice hotel bar.

The hotel is larger than it looks from the outside as it is made up of a few different buildings joined together. For some rooms this creates a challenge for anyone with access issues because there are two or three very tall steps to get from the hallways the elevator accesses to the adjoining hallways for many of the rooms. If you cannot manage the tall steps you need to be in rooms numbered _01 to _10 on any floor. All other rooms will required manoeuvring your luggage over these stairs. Our group needed 2 rooms and they gave us rooms on different floors and sections of the hotel rather than near each other. Some of the rooms have wet showers, so if you have concerns about slipping in the bathroom, you will want to make sure to put in a request to avoid these rooms.

This hotel is in a fantastic location - right in the heart of all the things to do and see in Copenhagen. Everything is walkable, and you're right on Nyhavn canal. Our only criticism was we were a bit unlucky with rooms. The first night we were in 530 (all the 30 rooms are the same) immediately next to the elevator/lift. The noise was going all the time, late at night, early in the morning. The mechanisms for the lift were virtually right next to the bed. We asked to be moved, which we were, to the other building for our second night. And that room had some weird plumbing / water gurgling sound almost constantly too. The hotel is otherwise great, good breakfast etc, but don't be afraid to move rooms if the noise is bad.

Everything was perfect, except for: shower gel dispenser was empty (refilled immediately), there wasn’t enough complementary bottled water in the room, and the lights were a bit tricky to work (and needed the room key in the socket to run them. Room was nice and shower was very hot and consistent.

The staff was all excellent and helped us select some great local restaurants.
