The hotel and restaurant was extremely nice. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The view of Lake Laguna is amazing. If you’re going there to “stay”, it’s perfect. However, I’m not sure why this property shows on Expedia when searching for hotels around Lake Como. The property is about 35 miles from Como city and the last six (6) miles are treacherous. The roads are narrow and a number of switchback turns on the section of roads. The road makes traveling in the area difficult. I can’t imagine the road during winter months.

An excellent property with exceptional service. Staff were extremely attentive. We ate in La Luce restaurant one evening and visited the spa. The hotel is in a great location with stunning lake views and it’s only a short drive into the centre of Lugano.

While the views of Lake Lugano are on point, the place is outdated and in dire need of renovation. We stayed in a Grand Suite, but cooling was a major issue, there were only two AC units for four bedrooms and a living room, which is unacceptable. We ended up dragging a mattress into the living room just to stay cool enough to sleep. The second AC unit had its noisy compressor installed directly inside the bathroom, making that space disruptively loud. To top it off, the building completely ran out of hot water by the evening. You are paying strictly for the location, not the comfort.

Lovely hotel with great facilities in general and loads of character too. The lido is fantastic, staff very nice too. Wish I'd stayed longer.
