Great property, the garden is gorgeous, one can spend a hours there interacting with nature. They done a great job preserving Japanese culture. Amazing bath amenities. The staff is a bit rigid and could be more welcoming. Location is not ideal but honestly you don’t need to leave the property unless for sightseeing. I would suggest this hotel for a last day or two to relax before flying back home. We tried the spa and it was pretty good.

The hotel says it’s a luxury 5* hotel. It’s not. It’s old and dated and it smells musty. We arrived and they put us in a prince suite. It was awful. I went to front desk and told them it did not look like the photos. They changed our room to a panoramic suite which was very nice of them. The room was more updated but the bathrooms weren’t. This hotel is not a 5* and the location is not great. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel

we got there not long after it opened. it was an hour to. heck in, pool was way too busy. too many kids in pool splashing. beautiful and new. rooms are top star. food mediocre. location far from everything unless you specifically want disney
