Very nice modern, clean hotel with comfortable room and very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant a bit hit and miss in terms of prompt service but the food was generally decent (the tuna was excellent, the chicken burger was a disappointing mess that fell apart). Decent wine list and the breakfast buffet was good with plenty to offer varying tastes.

Lovely property, clean rooms. Owner very friendly. If you have a car the location would be great but too far to walk anywhere.

Good hotel with a splendid view of Table mountain. Good service.

Value for your money

We really had a great stay in the room and environment. The staff were good, ready to help as needed. Mr Hajo, the owner, was very welcoming and so good in all aspects. He was so helpful, even in arranging and booking our excursions. Really made our stay memorable. Loved the freshly made breakfast

Lovely people making us feel so at home... Excellent chef Solomon - dinners were a 5 star event! Nice comfortable suite with pleasing gardens well cared for by gardener Nixon. Nothing was too much trouble for Lisa in reception and the lovely waitresses Ashley and Beauty

My stay at the Taj Cape Town exceeded my expectations in every way. I loved my room. The bed was comfortable, every shower was invigorating and the bath tub was heaven. The staff take this hotel to an entirely different level. They are attentive, knowledgeable and funny. Primrose, in the restaurant, gave me a food hack/recommendation that changed how I will order breakfast from now on! I need to also call out Siba and Martha from the front desk. Siba was just an all around great help and Martha helped me resolve an issue that had nothing to do with the hotel. She gave me so much calm and saved the start of my trip in a way that made me so grateful. The whole time, i truly felt that her goal was to make certain that i was ok. Bravo!

What a place! Everything is fabulous and the staff are exceptional. This was our 6th visit to the Cellars and it won’t be our last. The beautiful gardens together with the stylish interiors make for a luxurious and relaxing stay. The restaurant food is delicious too, what’s not to like?

Our highlight was definitely the owner Sarah. Her helpful, friendly and very capable approach made the stay very enjoyable! The room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. The property is located in a beautiful area and feels very safe and secure.The breakfast was absolutely delicious and served in a lovely diningroom. Tip of the day: if you visit in summer bring a swimsuit! The pool looked so inviting, and we wished we had! Thank you for your fabulous hospitality and care! Anita, Daniel & Marge
