Overall wasnt happy with my stay for a number of reasons, but there was one member of staff who couldnt have helped me more. I didn't catch her name but the blonde lady is a pleasure.

I have a couple things to say about my stay at Youth Hostel Zurich. Overall was a good experience, but a couple things a didn’t like much, like: - in the showers there’s no ventilation. It’s already a small space, would be good to have a bit of ventilation. Also, no mat on the floor or given. A bit disgusting to use your own towel that by the way you have to pay for it. - The breakfast provided is excellent, but I was a bit annoyed that in order for me to have coffee I would have to pay. Usually, at hostels they always have complimentary coffee and tea. But I have to say that the place is convenient, close to the station, clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

GOOD LOCATION. EASY TRANSPORT CONNECTIVITY TO CENTRAL STATION. TRAM NO. 7 DIRECTLY GOES TO CENTRAL STATION. BIG GROCERY STORE ON WALKING DISTANCE. GOOD EATING OPTIONS NEARBY. FRIENDLY AND COOPERATIVE STAFF.

A great hostel and exceeded our expectations. We received breakfast the following morning and it was great. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. And the staff were very nice. Train station and shopping centre are both in walking distance.

Not much to compare to in zurich, it was ok and great to have breakfast but i woulndt say its wonderful, also it is expensive i know switzerland is the excuse why but still its double the rest of europe for similar facilities.

Clean but rather expensive for what it is.
Clean with a reasonable infrastructure. Expensive for what it is, modern hotel concepts have a better price / offering relation than the Youth Hostel Zurich. The youth hostel includes breakfast but given current times there was no buffet, the offered breakfast was not that great, in particular the bread. Under normal circumstances (no corona) a good place to meet people.

Needs a bit more improvement
Breakfast was a great addition to the hostel. Stayed in four room dorm and the showers and bathroom are outside the rooms. Downside is that lockers have to use coins to utilize in room which seems to defeat the purpose of having lockers in room. Also the location is inconvenient for walking and makes it difficult to travel

I Wasn’t too impressed with this place. Way far from the center especially if you are walking. The whole time I was there I felt like I was in a juvenile detention center. Not worth the money as it is kind of on the expensive side for a hostel!
