This is a luxury boutique hotel that has all you could want in your time in Zurich for a reasonable price. Excellent dining, clean and comfortable rooms and bed, a wonderful shower with excellent soaps and shampoo, great service and concierge, in a gorgeous area of Zurich and within walking distance of everything. It is quiet as well. I was delighted with my stay at the Ambassador and will definitely return.

The Ambassador is a great choice

Introduction to Switzerland

Lovely hotel close to the Opera House and nearby to old Zurich. A perfect location to begin an exploration of Switzerland. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This hotel had little to no customer service. They didn't give us information, nor did they have a concierge. The beds were rock hard, and the AC didn't go below 20 degrees celsius. When we asked for lighter blankets, they turned up with warmer blankets. Truly disappointed. Not worth the price.

Overall staff is businesslike and not very friendly. Lighting in restaurant too bright and like a coffee shop-hostess seemed in a rush even with low volume. It would take very little to give this place a rave-the location and basic amenities are excellent.

This boutique hotel brings you the service and beauty of a luxury hotel for much less. Recently renovated, you’ll enjoy marble sinks, blond oak floors and, depending on the room, lovely views of Zurich and its namesake lake. Right next to the Opera House and a short walk into the center of everything, you get the best of both worlds - relaxation and bustle - as you choose. Carmen checked me in and was a delight after 24 hours of travel and airports. She went above and beyond! What a gem!

Very cute room, tastefully decorated. What I liked the most was the staff. Especially the receptionist who greeted us, and the lady who came to pick up my laundry were very helpful and lovely. One only thing I didn’t like was that the wardrobe is one of those shelves style ones that do not have a door. So you can see the clothes you hang, and that makes the room look a bit messy and less classy. It’s a minor detail and I still loved the hotel. I’d happily come back.

This is a four star hotel—as expected. Clean, comfortable, nice rooms. We were upgraded to one of the largest rooms looking over the Zurich opera house and surrounding. I saw some rooms appeared much smaller. It is an historic building that has been nicely renovated as a hotel. We stayed five nights, in Zurich to visit friends. Location is perfect for central Zurich. Across from Opera house. Near central trolley plaza and trains. Restaurant is elegant and very expensive, but food is rather average. Four blocks away one finds cheap food stalls near the trolley. Staff of hotel were pleasant. We had few needs of them. Beds were on soft side. Room was very quiet despite looking out on the city. Just be aware Zurich is very expensive. You will figure that out quickly.

Extremely well appointed rooms with modern style. Balcony with seating had charm. Nespresso machine was nice touch. Black out metal mechanized shades were unique. Bedding and mattress were really comfy.
