The hotel is dated as are the facilities. We made the mistake of selecting a smoking room, so our room smelled like an ashtray. It was difficult to determine cleanliness, because the furniture was old and the carpets were also old and stained. Transportation is extremely limited unless you want to ...

Excellent place to stay especially if you want to explore Naoshima or the other islands near by. Close to the docks and the trains. Breakfast buffet choices are extensive and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If we are going back to this part of Japan we will definitely book there.
