La Brillante quickly became my 2nd favorite boutique hotel in the world What a beautiful property and very well maintained. Very obvious that attention to detail was made when creating this property Very well adorned rooms and also beautiful Great rooftop restaurant with delicious food for breakfast and/or dinner The hotel is also well situated within walking distance to many attractions as well as the souk and the Medina Hotel also has a spa which we unfortunately didn’t have time to use but looked very nice The staff were also very helpful and friendly. I came to stay with my daughter for her birthday. The experience was amazing. The staff are super friendly, a massive thank you to Sara, Loco and Spoofy for keeping us entertained and looked after. These guys all work super hard and it was easy to see how much the three of them love their jobs. The food was always delicious and plentiful. Thank you again for another great stay. I look forward to coming back soon.

Beautiful hotel and pool.

We spent a week here as a family of five (kids ages 7.14 and 17) and unfortunately would not return. Despite advertising 15 pools, there is nowhere to escape the constant noise. Loud music, water aerobics and entertainment play throughout the day, right up until 11pm and can be heard across much of the resort. Even the water park has music blasting all day. If you want a peaceful holiday, this is not the place. Our biggest issue was cleanliness. On arrival our room had clearly not been cleaned properly, with dirt, insects, missing supplies, poo still down the toilet and up the wall from a previous guest and an unpleasant smell. The adjoining room for our children was also poorly prepared. We were moved two days later (hotel full) but this should never have happened at a hotel claiming five stars. The buffet restaurants were overcrowded, very noisy and repetitive. Food quality was average and hygiene standards appeared poor, with flies around food stations and questionable food handling. Several members of our family suffered stomach problems during the stay. The staff generally tried their best, but management appeared overwhelmed during the Eid period and clearly didn’t care. Requests often went unanswered and communication was poor. The gym and spa is excellent and some of the gardens are attractive. However, these positives did not outweigh the poor cleanliness, lack of relaxation, repetitive food and drink selection and disappointing service. We would not return.
