we had a clean and lovely studio apartment . only minus points were the view on the car park next door from our studio and to pay extra for the parking. check in and out was very easy and the mini kiosk had reasonable prices. overall we had a great stay and enjoyed it very much :)

Clean, full kitchen, great staff for an excellent price. By the river with great views and walking distance to the main square and shambles. Will stay again.

Very pleased with our stay at Roomzzz York. Would definitely recommend due to the closeness, amenities and overall feel of the hotel. Will definitely use this hotel chain again.

We had a lovely over night stay in York. Staff was all really nice with us . We brought our buddy guide dog the room was perfect and clean . Great location to walk into York by the river . Looking forward to coming back again soon

Great family break

Fantastic dog friendly hotel/apartment. Plenty of room. Lovely kitchen and great seating and dining area in the room. Heated bathroom floor quite the surprise, need one at home. Friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Would happily go again.

Friendly staff, clean and excellent facilities in the room. Perfect for exploring the city. Liked the little touches - breakfast pastries and supply of tea bags! Will definitely use this property again next time we’re in York.

Not great.

Unfortunately, despite booking a grande family suite and detailing that I was travelling with my son, we arrived to only one bed being made up. After a long journey, this was far from ideal. I alerted the receptionist who then had to find bedding from another room. I then had to assist the receptionist to drag a sofa bed into position and following her telling me that she had other customers waiting for her, proceeded to make up the bed myself. The bathroom door lock wouldn’t work and the bathroom door handle was broken and hanging off.

Weekend away

weekend stay for family birthday celebration. Great location, 10/15 min walk into York centre. Nice touch with the croissants in a morning however, the coffee machine really needs fixing. Slightly overpriced.

This was a lovely property, conveniently located for the city centre and very peaceful. We had a lovely room on the top floor with very high ceilings so it felt luxurious for a very good price!

Such a lovely plave to stay, staff were amazing. The thermostat didnt work in my room so they moved me into a loft suit foc, it was amazing and the lady who checked me in was amazing and so helpful. Will definitely be staying here again!

Overall the stay was good! The heat in our original room was broken, but they quickly moved us without any hassle. Location is across the river from downtown, which was actually quite nice.

Lovely location, very quiet and convenient walking distance to York centre. Reception staff appeared to be going through the motions and didn’t appear to be enjoying their role. Free coffee and croissants for brekkie a nice touch.

Lovely hotel but a climb to reception

Nice looking, modern hotel and lovely reception staff. Great location for the City and view over river. For me, I wouldn’t stay there again because of large steep stairs to climb to reception. Also, I didn’t realise the (fairly expensive) price didn’t include daily room services, such as wet towel replacements, bin emptying or bed making. (I was given fresh towels but used ones not collected)

Superb hotel and location in York

This has been our third stay at Roomzzz and it never fails to meet our expectations. Staff are very helpful and friendly. This time we stayed in a grand suite room which had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was very quiet on the night and the location is perfect with only a 10minute walk into York city centre. This hotel is always now our first choice when staying in York which we do twice a year.

Better than anticipated.

A clean, modern hotel situated next to the river and a short walk to the city centre. The hotel offers parking (for a fee), free hot & cold drinks and croissants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size and climate controlled. The bed was comfy, there’s lots of utensils in the kitchen + iron and board. There is also underfloor heating in the bathroom which is a really nice touch. Overall I am very impressed and it was fantastic value.

The perfect stay for tired parents time away… ❤️

Really impressed by the hotel overall. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The 24/7 hot drinks were great. The rooms were clean, with great amenities & the river view from our balcony was so lovely. The only thing that let things down slightly was that the croissants for the free breakfast were stale, so we didn’t end up eating them. However, that was a small blip on an overall excellent experience & we would definitely stay again.
