The open expanse of Long Sands Beach awaits just down the driveway from this darling cottage in York, where you'll have every essential for a classic summer in Maine. You'll swim, you'll sunbathe, and you'll be welcomed home each afternoon by a sunroom, a small deck, and a private gas grill.

Follow the narrow driveway from Long Beach Avenue to reach this single-level home, which you'll enter by way of the cozy front deck. Step inside to unwind in the window-lined sunroom. There's a washer/dryer in the first bedroom to take care of your swimsuits and towels and a Netflix-equipped TV in the living room for your evening entertainment. Find full-size appliances in the nicely equipped kitchen, a gas grill just outside, and a dining table for four in the sunroom. When it's time to turn in for the evening, there's even window-unit air conditioning in each of the two bedrooms.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Our overall stay was great, very clean , the only negative thing i could say was a little confusion on parking, we came through the restaurant parking lot as directed, parked ne t to the walkeay and steps to help my mom (94) get in the house, the restaurant owner asked me to move my car to another spot which was no big deal once i realized i had to go back out on the street to the neighbors driveway to get to where i was supposed to park, there is an area between the houses which looks like you wouldgo therebut there is a 4x4 there that could do damage to your vehicle, it all worked out, i just felt directions were a little unclear. FYI a book for people not familiar to the area with things to do would be great, we come every year so not a big deal. Thank you so much

The location of this cute home is wonderful- directly across the street from Long Sands Beach. Although it is a smaller home, the sunporch, living room, and kitchen are all very bright and open. The kitchen is very well-supplied. The bathroom has ample storage for personal items. Having a washer and dryer in the home is quite convenient. We recommend!

We enjoyed the space and bright sunny rooms of this property. The kitchen is very well supplied, and was used often throughout our week-long stay. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The bathroom is a fair size for 2 people to share, and it provides plenty of towels and quite a bit of storage. The sunporch facing the beach is sunny and very enjoyable for both dining and relaxing.

The property was close to the beach…just across the street so an easy walk and transport of beach gear. There was adequate parking of a small sedan, a jeep, and an suv. The house was clean, with plenty of towels and blankets. The kitchen was clean and well appointed. The mattresses comfortable. There is a washer and drier. Easy communication with owners. Close to restaurants. Lovely stay!

We’ve made Maine our vacation for the past 20 years. This is the first year we have rented a house. What a great experience. Not only was this house conveniently near the beach but was so well supplied with essentials of home. Needless to say we will be renting this house again!

We found this property to be very clean and bright, and quite spacious for 2 of us. The location is perfect, just across the street from the beach and provides a little bit of an ocean view from the sunny enclosed front porch. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

We enjoyed this property immensely. The communal spaces are large and open, while the bedrooms were so cozy. The ocean is right across the street and absolutely gorgeous. The location was right near everywhere we needed to be (we were in town for a wedding). We flew into Boston and getting to the rental from there was very easy. Would absolutely stay here again!

Excellant location to see the Nubble, walk the beaches (try to avoid idiots that can't keep an animal on the leash), easy walk to great restaurant (Lobster Cove), or a little grocery store.

Cottage had a nice flow to it! Plenty of room with a fairly open concept. Location was perfect for us. We appreciated the view from the porch as our 87 year old mom was able to sit outside and hear the waves and to see the ocean. Everyone in neighboring homes were friendly, which added to our short vacation…

Door lock code sent the day before, but instructions were not provided. We had to call to get lockbox code. Towels in dryer. One set of sheets not washed. Had sand in bed. No coffee or wash detergent, though both shown in docs received from Vacasa. I bought both for $25. No bath mat. Remotes for TV not available. Found in drawer. When leaving, I left a few items. Vacasa much more interested in getting its $25 processing / finder's fee even though I was able to pick up items the next day. I gave up on items after 2 calls and 2 text chats with Vacasa. Vacasa made no guarantees that I would ever get the items and would not let me talk to local agents.

My husband and I enjoyed this cute little house very much. It was immaculate, and we found it to be bright, nicely decorated, and quite comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, cutlery, tableware, and even barware. The location was great for us, just steps across the street from Long Sands. The only glitch we had was being unable to reach the property management company while having some difficulty entering the house upon our arrival. Luckily, we figured it out, but had the problem been serious, I’m not sure we would have actually made contact with anyone. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would rent here again.

Let me say this property was at an excellent location, right across the street from the beach and walking distance to some restaurants and convenience stores. Probably my fault, but I assumed this was directly beachfront. There is a property in front of this house between you and the beach. Not bad, just don’t expect a direct view of the beach but still merely steps across the street from the beach. We had a great time!

We had such a wonderful time here. The house played larger than we thought. The living space was ample for two, an empty closet to use, and a well stocked and useful kitchen (we cooked 6 of 7 nights). We were right across the street from beautiful Long Beach, and a nice walk to Short Beach and all the shops. We would visit again without hesitation. Thank you!
