Avon Hotel was well situated for our needs - near to multiple convenience stores and coffee shops, and transportation by bus or taxi was very easy. The staff were always smiling and helpful.

The hotel was in a great location, and was easy to walk to the main attractions from there. For our first stay, we ended up with a flooded bathroom because the drain in the shower was clogged but they sent someone right away and fixed the issue and cleaned the bathroom for us. For our second stay, they ended up upgrading us which was so appreciated because there were 3 of us in one room (3 women). Overall, the hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They also held our big luggage for us when we did an overnight trip to Busan. That was extremely helpful since we were able to just take our carry on and backpacks. The hotel rooftop is beautiful with a great view of the city! It was a great place to enjoy drinks and snacks up there. We would definitely stay there again the next time we visit Jeonju!

Confusing check-in process. We arrived at 1230 and front told us to return 1430 to check-in. So we returned to front desk at 1430 to check -in, but now were told we must make appointment with a PRE-check-in person before going to front desk. So we waited until PRE check person received permission to allow us to go to front desk to check in. Staff was courteous. Hotel location was great. Room was nice and clean. TV was confusing to operate. A/C was not working

This is the third time that we have stayed here over a period of six years. It is a good quality, low budget, hotel with basic, but comfortable, air conditioned rooms, TV, and an ensuite wet room / bathroom. It is well positioned within the Gaeksa cafe / restaurant area of Jeonju, and close to the river where there are walkways and cycleways that take you to the famous Nambu Market. English is rarely spoken in this part of South Korea and the hotel staff did their best to help us during our two week stay. Rooms cost £40 per night and, although breakfast is not available in the hotel, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor, and many coffee shops nearby that serve an excellent brunch.

We had a nice stay here… the owner was there to greet us when we arrived to check in, and even though we were early, he had our room ready and allowed us to check in early. He was friendly and even gave us a few recommendations of where to visit while we stayed. We stayed in a traditional ondol room, so it was nostalgic for me, having grown up in Jeonju, but if you’re not accustomed to sleeping on the floor, you might want to opt for a room that has a bed. We loved the location since it was located within the tourist area, so there were plenty of shopping and dining options, all within walking distance. We’ll definitely consider staying here again if we visit Jeonju in the future.
