El desayuno fue espectacular, eso y el hecho de la historia en el hotel son lo más increíble, sin embargo es importante darle mantenimiento y cuidar tan espectacular propiedad. Tiene una historia que tiene que perdurar y por ende cuidarse.

Tiene muy buena ubicación en el centro de Xilitla con estacionamiento propio, es para quienes les gusta lo diferente, el personal es amable. Un hotel con personalidad, para seguir viviendo la experiencia del jardín de Edward James, te hacen sentir en casa de la familia Gastelum, ofrece un recorrido a las 7 pm para conocer la historia de la casa, y la estancia incluye desayuno.

Gorgeous older hotel. Looked like a castle. It has a lot of stairs but worth it. Great history of the place. And the included breakfast is homemade was as great as restaurant food! Staff were very humble and helpful.

La vista es increíble, pero el interior aún más. Si quieren vivir completa la experiencia del surrealismo en Xilitla, mi recomendación es quedarse aquí. Agradecimientos especiales a Martha, quien nos trató increíble, nos ayudó a conseguir taxis para traslados y fue súper amable.

No vale la pena calidad -precio. Está muy céntrico si quieres pasar el día en Xilitla. Por la noche hay mucho ruido por los lugares cercanos.

El lugar es un Castillo antigüo que por su arquitectura te hace trasladarte en el tiempo, pero el servicio es de lo mejor. Nos hicieron sentir tan cómodos como en casa. Viajamos en familia con 4 hijos y a ellos también les encantó. La comida es muy rica y no se diga el panqué de plátano que te ofrecen durante el desayuno, hasta pedimos que nos hicieran uno para llevar. Luisa la administradora siempre estuvo muy pendiente durante nuestra estancia. Nos ofrecieron un Tour a Tamul el cual vale totalmente la pena. Los guias que te llevan es un personal muy culto y calificado. Pregunten por Isabel, la super recomendamos.

Staff were pleasant. The room was up very narrow, steep steps which was quite difficult to navigate, and we feel this could have been pointed out in advance. There was no hairdryer which would have been welcome. The fact there were hardly any other guests maybe caused the lack of atmosphere. We have since read that the hotel has a film about its history which is offered to guests to watch, but we were not offered this. There was vagueness about the availability of a restaurant for the evening so we ended up eating elsewhere;staff were however happy to recommend alternatives.

The Castillo Magico! It’s like stepping into history. It was a privilege to meet and be hosted by the owner and her wonderful staff. We were lucky to stay in the bedroom of Edward James, very comfortable with stunning mountain views. The owner gave us a tour and explained the history of her grandfather’s house. There is a secret staircase that leads to a bar & restaurant next door, named after her grandfather. Breakfast was delicious, pastries, fruit and a cooked meal to order. The grounds are beautiful too. I’m only sorry we couldn’t stay longer.
