"The Charles was located in a great location. Although not in the centre of town, it was only a short walk to restaurants, pubs and cafes. A very quiet area and close for exiting the city on your way to Hobart or the north & west coasts. Fantastic and super helpful staff. I wish other hotels would have staff as attentive and cheerful as The Charles We inadvertently left behind a phone charger which was recovered and returned to us on our next visit to Launceston. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit"

"great room, so big - would have been nice if it had had a small table and chairs so you didn't have to sit on the bed. and a small couch would have fit in also! you only get a view of the carpark if you don't pay extra for the silo rooms but the size of the room makes up for it. A bit remote from cafes etc so a small microwave would be nice so you could heat your food or drinks when you finally get them back, but there is a cafe in the park next door, open in the morning- fantastic stay"
