When you are at the front door the neighbours dog barks. We appreciate there is nothing that can be done about this. "Great stay but there was only a bath and no shower. Unfortunately the taps leaked and there was some damage to the floor and chrome. Not the hotels fault but with the sticky weather a shower would have been nice. Very pleasant staff and great hotel."

"Friendly hotel within easy (and scenic!) walking distance of Ludlow, with it's history, food and culture. Staff were great and helpful with tips for Ludlow and sights to see in Shropshire. Great breakfast in a sunny garden room. Easy parking and comfortable room. Views of the castle and the river within minutes walking from the hotel."

"The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and polite. The position of the hotel was excellent for exploring the area. The room size was fine and the amenities good. What the room needed was air conditioning, I realise it is extreme heat and a fan was provided but I believe it was way too hot and oppressive. The water system was ropey and waiting for the water to arrive and the bathroom in general needed updating. However the room was clean."

The accommodation was great (we stayed in a lodge), the staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great (Sunday roast buffet highly recommended), room was clean and well maintained and the bar and gardens were wonderful. We will definitely stay there again if we're in the area"

"We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again."
