Newer Luxury Getaway in a Tranquil Setting

Welcome to Bumblebee Cove! Families and children welcomed! Our newly built cabin is located on beautiful Black Dan Lake, between the Chequamegon-Nicolet and Flambeau River forests. Surrounded by beauty and tranquility, lots of wildlife, and 100's of miles of snowmobile and 4 wheeling trails accessible directly from the property(located on both ATV and snowmobile route), our cabin is the perfect private getaway.
Our cabin is located only 8 miles from the town of Winter for your grocery/gas/hardware needs, and only 32 miles from Hayward. With over 2000 square feet, it has central air conditioning, 3 bedrooms, a large loft area, and additional sleeping in both family and living rooms. It has a large double shower in the master bath, and additional 1/2 bath, both on the first level. There is also a second bath with shower on the second level. Both the master bedroom and living room have patio walkouts to a large deck which overlooks the lake. The lower family room also has a walkout to a lower patio complete with furniture and a porch swing that overlooks the lake. NOTE: a screened porch has been added for our second season!

The sleeping accommodations include:
- Master bedroom with King bed
- Bedroom with Queen bed
- Bedroom with Full bed
- Loft with Full bed and Full futon
- Full futon in family/rec room
- Twin sofa pullout in Living room

Inside you will find a fully stocked kitchen, an air hockey table, board games, WIFI, two TV’s with Roku devices, and one TV with DVD player and a large library of movies. Please feel free to use your own Netflix/Amazon Prime/Hulu etc streaming accounts.

A fire pit is located in the yard for your enjoyment. We have a dock with plenty of room to sit and fish off of or dive right in and take a swim. The swimming right off the dock is superb! There is sand on one side of the dock which makes getting in and out of the lake very nice. Black Dan Lake is a class A musky fishing lake, with plenty of panfish, bass, walleye, and northern pike as well. There are even a few brown trout! Also available for you to use are two kayaks, a canoe, and row boat. There is a public boat landing so feel free to bring your own motorboat. It is a great lake to swim, fish, kayak, paddle board, or just simply relax and enjoy the incredible view or fall colors! Loon calls are common, as well as occasional bald eagle sightings.

A charcoal grill and utensils are provided.

Consideration of our neighbors is paramount. No camping on property, events, fireworks, loud music, or parties. There is NO SMOKING allowed inside the cabin, and we do not allow pets.

This unit is currently available for 4 day(minimum) rental periods, with a 4pm check-in, and 10am check-out on the day following the last evening stay.

NOTE: the kitchen table is much larger than what appears in the picture. We regularly seat 6 or even 8 people around the table when playing games, etc.... Also, there are extra folding chairs at the cabin for use around the table.

Relaxing Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Bumble Bee Cove with our family! The cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, kayaking on the lake, fishing and just simply spending time together!!!

Family Vacation 2023

This cabin is beautiful with everything you would need. Wonderfully decorated and with plenty of space for everyone to sleep. The view of the lake from the balcony is very nice. Fishing was great right off the pier. Overall wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful family getaway

Our family visited with our five kids and their grandparents (4 adults, 5 kids aged 1-11). Cabin and lake are as advertised and more. Cabin is well stocked, lake is beautiful and quiet. Kids swam, we fished, played yard games, and visited local areas. Caught bass and northerns, kayaked and canoed.

Quaint Northwoods Getaway

Great Cabin

Very nice cabin. Very clean and stocked with everything you could need. Our family enjoyed being able to walked down to the lake and fish whenever we wanted. It was very peaceful and relaxing. My husband and son are already taking about going back in the fall!

Great Lake cabin

Stayed at the cabin for a fall trip with my dad and two siblings. It’s comfortable, clean, and modern. All appliances and HVAC were in good working order. All that said, this is just a downright great lake cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful, the lake view is gorgeous, and the location is really nice. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing week

We had an amazing week. We had 6 adults, an infant and a 7 year old. I never heard a single negative comment all week. The property was everything we had hoped for. The family even discussed making it an annual trip.

Absolute Perfection!

This is an amazing property! We began our stay with 7 and ended with 11. There was plenty of room for all of us. Awesome lake for fishing, kayaking and swimming. All interests in our group were well accommodated at the Bumblebee Cove. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing and scenic getaway.

Going back a 2nd time did not disappoint!

We had such a good time last year we came back for a 2nd round! Why not!? It's a beautiful, clean, unique home with everything that you need for a classic 'Up North' getaway. Serenity, good pan fishing, wildlife all over and clear clean water for swimming. Thanks again for hosting some great friend/family memories!

It's a VRBO Hit

Really enjoyed our stay here. Modern home with rustic feel. This was our home away from home. Comfortable and beautiful. Loved the location, it allowed us to totally relax. We fished, swam, kayaked and played many card games on the huge deck overlooking the lake and listening to the Loons. Traveled 7 miles to take in a game of golf. Our 13 year old granddaughter and 8 year old grandson even enjoyed themselves immensely, it was hard to leave.

Above and beyond our expectations!!!

We were extremely satisfied with the entire process from booking to communication before we got there, to the way check in process and the cleanliness and absolute beauty of the cabin/house! I will probably never get the chance to have such an amazing week long stay anywhere else. David was a great communicator and the cabin has a wonderful story behind it. Kitchen very well stocked. Amenities galore! The lake was gorgeous! Neighbors were not really close enough to worry about but did come out the last day and hoped we had a great stay! The dock was amazing and even had a boat lift for our fishing boat. Was the very best!!!!

Nice, Quite, Relaxing, ...What More Could You Ask For!

Great spot not far from Hayward. Beautiful home! Nice lake view from the deck. Row boat and kayaks where great to have...but next time I would rent a motor for the row boat as didn't see much of the lake. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. Bedrooms were nice size with comfortable beds. We spent two days is in Hayward about a 30 minute easy drive. The Zoo in Hayward was awesome for the grand kids. The grand kids caught fish off the dock and swam off the dock. The lake was quite and the people in the area very friendly. This is one of our favorite and most relaxing family vacations! David was quick to answer any questions we had via text message. Yes, if you want to rent a very nice, relaxing place this is the place for you!!!

Our stay at Bumblebee Cove was so much fun! It was filled with lots of excitement and adventure. The cabin was one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. The lake was so lovely, quiet and filled with fish that kept our two grandchildren busy from the dock. They loved swimming and kayaking there, too! David was the best host. Perfect Summer Break

We could not have asked for a lovelier cabin for our long weekend getaway. It was clear that thought and care went into preparing this home for guests, right down to the smallest details, and everything we could possibly have needed was there. The kitchen, in particular, was impressively well-stocked with cookware, bakeware, glassware, and dishware, which saved us the hassle of overpacking and let us simply enjoy ourselves. We played cribbage, ate nearly every meal out on the deck overlooking the water, and truly relaxed on the peaceful lake. Thank you! We hadn't even left before we were talking about when we could return.

Family vacation 2024

Great cabin with plenty of room for everyone. The cabin had the rustic appeal with modern convenience. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. Access to the lake was easy and the watercraft available for use welcome. We enjoyed fishing the lake catching a few bass, perch and sunfish. It was a great stay.

Awesome getaway!

Great experience! Highlights include: - Great communication from the host - what to do upon arrival, property rules/guidelines, local places to visit - Rental - well decorated, spacious, lots of necessities provided (utensils, cookware, spices, etc.), air hockey table in basement, 3 bathrooms, central air - Lake - crystal clear water, we didn't catch any keeper panfish or bass but we caught plenty of fish right off the dock and out in the boat, great swimming off the dock, boat lift on the dock This was a perfect summer vacation that has something for everyone! We were fortunate to have great weather and were up during during the week, so we had nearly the whole lake to ourselves outside of a couple pontoons/fishing boats. I'd definitely book this again and recommend it to family/friends looking for a Northern Wisconsin getaway.

Great Northwoods Getaway!

Our group of 7 had a great time at David’s lakefront cabin. The check-in process was a breeze, and the cabin is clean, updated, and in a great location. The lake is peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed using the canoe and kayaks each day, as well as playing games in the spacious backyard. The cabin is conveniently located, and we played golf two days at Barker Lake golf course (15 minutes away) and rented a pontoon from Treeland Resort on Chippewa Flowage (20 minutes away. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a northern Wisconsin getaway!
