Enjoy our slice of heaven at Cake by the Ocean! This beautifully designed oceanfront condo is perched in the best part of the building, top floor, with panoramic ocean views all around, perfect for a couple, small family, girls trip, surfer retreat or a mini double date getaway! Wake up to the sound of the ocean and enjoy your coffee on the balcony taking in the outstanding sunrise by the pier! The unit has one bedroom with a king bed, smart TV (Connect your Netflix or Hulu!) and bedside lamps with built-in USB chargers. The living room can host an additional two guests with a very comfortable pull out queen sofa bed with gel topper. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to enjoy a nice home cooked meal if you choose. Washer/Dryer in unit, and access to the outdoor pool steps away from the building with a privacy fence. Enjoy stepping back in time with our record player and collection of tunes to help you feel the beachy vibe! Use the tide clock to track the best times to hit the beach for a fun shell hunting excursion. We are a 4 minute walk to the nearest beach access, and a 3 minute walk to the Carolina Beach Pier, rated BEST waterfront dining in 2024 per Wilmington Magazine! A short 3-5 minute drive to the boardwalk where there is a ton of fun, food and shops!

A few things to note about the property:

- We are a top floor unit and unfortunately we do NOT have an elevator. There are four flights of stairs to get to our unit, but we promise the view is worth it! We like to let our guests know ahead of time so they can plan accordingly.

- Please note, we are an Oceanfront property, not a Beachfront property. It is a short 4 minute walk to the beach access, but directly in front of our unit you will see the rocks that protect the properties from the tide. Take a look at our photos off the balcony for reference.

Really enjoyed our stay! Anthony, owner, was extremely responsive to my questions and even reached out during Tropical Storm Idalia to make sure we were ok. Appreciated the additional convenience items on site so we could pack lighter than normal. Definitely would recommend this property, beautiful view!

Great view!

The place was perfect for a couple! The view from the deck was magnificent and felt very private. You are a short walk away from a pier and food/bar. The beach is also just a short walk. The kitchen was stocked with everything that you might want. We make pina coladas with the blender and there was plenty of everything else you could cook with.

Great getaway location. Clean, accommodating condo right by the water. Although I did not partake, the bottle of wine and chilled glasses was a delight to see in the fridge. A short but sweet stay! I would go back.

Right on the Water!

Nice little condo in a fantastic location! We loved sitting on the balcony, listening to the crash of the waves, often watching dolphins swim by. Having no beach directly below us was awesome - we felt like it was a private spot; but a couple minutes walk led us to the beach. We took day trips to Wilmington, Brunswick Town, Fort Fisher, North Carolina battleship, Carolina Beach State Park. Highly recommend!

Nice Weekend Getaway

We loved the balcony! The condo was super clean and the bed super comfy. The cable in the living room was greatly appreciated. Just be ready for the three flights of stairs. Slight walk to the beach as there is a rock jetty right in front of the condo. We just sat on the balcony which got sun until mid afternoon. It was lovely!

Summer Vibes at CB

You will enjoy the view and the beach vibes at Cake by the Ocean. Listening to the waves, watching the sunrise in the morning, and admiring the surfers in the afternoon while we sat on the balcony was so relaxing. It’s only a 3 minute walk to the beach access where the sand is soft and there’s plenty of space to set up your umbrella and chairs. This condo has everything you need and more to enjoy your stay. Anthony and Kirsten are very quick to respond to messages. We would absolutely stay here again!

We happened to arrive just as the nor’easter was blowing through. Turns out it was the perfect low key fall break watching the drama of the waves crash on the rocks. As close to the ocean as you are going to get! The place had everything you might need and the bottle of bubbly was a nice surprise. Would definitely come back.
