"This is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The views of the river are so soothing, and the neighborhood deliciously quiet. The owners were responsive & helpful when we ran into an internet problem. Kitchen is minimal but I didn't go there to cook ;-) We had fun exploring the nearby towns (Bath and Washington) and the wildlife reserves, but the best part was just sitting on the deck and breathing."

"Nicely maintained home with all you need for a perfect stay. Nestled on a quiet street just minutes walk from historic downtown and riverfront walk. Large covered porches with the back porch having a river view and we enjoyed an occasional slow moving train going past. Management is very accommodating and fast to respond. Highly recommend."

"Rented the property for my daughter’s graduation from ECU. So glad we picked this tranquil spot to stay rather than the city! The house has lots of space, the kitchen is well stocked with essentials, and the view from the living room is spectacular! Most of our time was spent sitting in the yard just talking! Enjoyed sun rises on the pier and some fishing, even though the fish weren’t biting much!"

"Given the chance we love staying at Hampton Inn Hotels when we can afford to. This one was really clean, beds were comfy, the pillows were great, bathrooms were clean...although there was something very slick in the shower and I almost fell 😳 I had to put a towel down to keep from falling and there was some kind of sketchy white powder on the bathroom door handle but I carry Lysol so I cleaned that right up. They had the a/c on 59 waiting for us and we LOVED that!!!! The staff on both shifts...
