"One of the most amazing places we have stayed. Watching the sun rise over the gorge in the morning is something I will treasure for a long time. Brenda and her dog, Ruby, are delightful hosts. The views are spectacular and hiking wonderful. This is definitely one of our favorites and hope to be back."

"We travel to Red River every year for a week stay. I accidently forgot to book for an extra night, I tried to contact the place or the owners to book for one more night and I could not find a number to call. I did email them but never received an answer. That was disappointing. But the place is beautiful and clean we had a great time there and being next to the river was an extra bonus. We would surely stay there again. But the availability of the owners in my opinion needs to be better. Thanks for your beautiful place. Connie Ortiz"
Spectacular Earthship

"Enjoyed getting to experience staying in an Earthship property. The greenhouse corridor greets you with lush foliage and delicate fragrances, a nice contrast to the desert landscape outside. The kitchen was adequately stocked and the living room comfortable to lounge in. Plenty of closet space so you don't have to live out of your suitcase. You do have to be thoughtful in your water usage, but I found that it was a good exercise in conservation, you learn just how little you need when necessary. They provide all the soap/shampoo you'll need (their water system setup requires natural ingredients that won't hurt the plants) so if you're allergic to cleaning products derived from coconut you'll want to avoid showering or check that your soap would be safe to use. Never had any issues with the electricity or the wifi. It was nice to sit out on the patio area and watch the sun sparkle through the glass bottle wall. On clear mornings you can see the sun rise behind the mountains. If you are the type to explore, you may see some interesting wildlife around the property. It was a good experience and I would stay there again."
