Second time staying at this property. The overall property was good but the room cleanliness left something to be desired. The light fixtures were all very dusty, there was a blacked piece if chewed up gum on the carpet (so you know its been there a while) and the shower curtain had that pink hue at the bottom indicative of mildew. The bathroom was very clean aside from that but pretty scuffed up of that bothers you. Bedding was very clean and beds comfortable enough. Staff were friendly and the location is great for eating, shopping and quicm access to cypress east medical facilities.

Booked this hotel on Wednesday needed to do some work online, wifi not working and they were not working to fix it. On top the customer service didn’t let us know until we read a sign with small print at the elevator when we asked the front desk people were rude and didn’t care. Terrible customer service and broken offered amenities.

The Easy access off of the highways around Wichita was helpful. Free parking in front of the building was appreciated. The restaurants and retail around the hotel offer food and shopping options. All looked quite new and the area was very clean. The area has a "new mall" look to it that may not make for much natural beauty, but it makes for a convenient easily-get-what-you-want situation.

The motel was an excellent choice for our five day stay. Close to relatives. We plan to return, next March, to attend the National Junior College Basketball Tournament in Hutchinson. We will stay with you. The handicap room was excellent. Room 105. Hope we can have the same room as soon we know the date for the tournament. Breakfasts were excellent.

The motel smells. It used to be my go to place when I came to DSM. Have to look for someone to check you in. The clerk told me to park on the end which involved walking down the hall, back into the lobby again, and down the stairs to get to my room!

We stayed two nights. The first night was absolutely awful. There were blood stains in one of the beds, there was human and dog hair on the bedding of both beds and there were stains on both duvet covers. There was also lots of hair in the shower. It was obvious the room had not been cleaned. I have contacted Expedia and am supposed to get a refund for the first night. I am willing to pay for the second night, but I had to call the front desk to request the room be cleaned. The walls were also paper thin. We could hear everything going on above us and on both side of us. The pillows were uncomfortable as well, but that was the least of our concerns. The filth of the room was absolutely horrible. We do not plan on staying at a La Quinta again if we can help it.

Upon arrival we learned the pool was down for maintenance. The staff had said they were re-tiling the floor. We have stayed at this hotel many times for few years now. We could see into the pool area and nothing has been done except the chairs around the pool had been stacked. The note said they were closed from 2/12/24-2/19/24 I believe for maintenance. My kids were very disappointed and we still paid full price for our rooms.
