  • The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas is a terrific zoo! The zoo has a great range of animals and exhibits and the grounds are well kept and spacious. There's lots of shade to keep you somewhat cool during those hot Texan summer months if you visit during that time frame. The animal enclosures are nice, and can really give you great views of the animals themselves if you are a bit patient. This also makes for great photo views, as shown here with this photo of an approaching jaguar. Food and snack prices are also very reasonable, as are prices for souvenirs. This zoo makes for a great day out for the family.

My wife and I had a great time at the Space Cowboy cabin. We loved the funky decor and the patio. It was really quiet in the mornings and evenings. We brought our two chiweenies and they had a great time too. Lots of squirrels and a couple cats for them to bark at. The hosts were very responsive, helpful, and nice. And the 90-00s kids would all say “ See you later, space cowboy”.

Fisherman’s Hideout

Overall the Space Cowboy was in a great location for our fishing trip on lake Whitney! Minutes from the marina and not too far from town. House was perfect for our trip!

Such a lovely peaceful spot!

We LOVED our short weekend in this adorable little cabin! Every detail of the decor, the outdoor lights and patio, and the serene location were exactly what we were looking for. We had everything we needed to make breakfast in the morning and cook out in the evening, and being located within 15 minutes of Pine Bluff Resort where our event was, was super convenient. Mariah was fantastic, very responsive. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely return!

This house is beautiful and so special space on each detail, very comfortable, extra clean and organized. The only thing that didn’t work for us was the WiFi password, but since we had a convention we didn’t have time to report it to the owners.

I visited for 2 nights celebrating my birthday with family. The residence was a pure delight. Very clean, every need taken care of. The full moon over the bed was awesome. Outdoor views and neighborhood are very peaceful. Would definitely return and recommend highly.

Out Of This World

Super cute looks just like the photos, the theme is evident throughout the space! Honestly, booked this for the pool table! My husband loves to play pool but I don’t like to go to a public place to play because I’m terrible. It wasn’t so bad losing in this space. Prior to arrival, I thought the space might be a little small but it was perfect! Ate locally at Monte’s Mexican Restaurant and had pizza from Milano’s on Pi day! Brookshire’s was very convenient for last minute things we needed. Visited Lake Whitney State Park and took a little trip over to the Roadside Museum in Hillsboro. We loved the trip!

Getaway

My wife and I stayed here to just getaway for the night. It has everything you could need all there. The hosts communicate well and are very hospitable. The only negative if any, would be that you’re right next to the hosts home. It’s like a guest house. Other than we loved it.
