Very easy to find right off the highway but far enough away that road noise was not an issue (there is a closer road but it was partially closed so road noise was even lower than normal). "We loved this little cabin! It had everything we needed! One thing to be aware of: the local pickleball community has adopted part of the street leading to the cabin as their courts. They’ll move to let you by, but it gets a bit crowded at times and they’re less than thrilled about stopping play to move their nets. Other than that, it was excellent!"

"I was here for the Gimme Shelter Eighteenth Annual Kayak Gathering. The location was perfect. I used the oven to bake two native blackberry pies for the event potluck dinner. I parked my car with kayak on top in the provided parking area. It worked out well. I was able to rinse the salt water from my kayak gear with the host's permission after a successful (awesome) day fishing. I had a wonderful time."

"This was our first visit to northern California. We had a great view of the cove where there were sea lions and seals and enjoyed watching the birds and deer from the porch. We traveled to the redwoods which were not far. We also explored the General Store and enjoyed a meal at the brewery in Shelter Cove. All communication with the homeowner was prompt and courteous. Perfect trip!"

Only negative was Vacasa inserting extra steps into reservation process after I had been confirmed by VRBO, and encountering rude Vacasa customer service while calling trying to avoid identity theft. We all deserve kindness and compassion. Finding out I am dealing with a middleman with extra rules is reasonably off-putting after thinking I've closed a deal with VRBO.
