This is a mom and pop type place, the check in was super easy and they gave us some great information on the area. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Staff is great, rooms are fine. I didn’t like having direct TV 100 channels but no ABC, NBC, CBS or Espn when there was a key NBA game on. I like that they had yogurt, cereal coffee but packaged rolls and no decafe. Good restaurant nearby for hamburgers. Staff very helpful.
The Buffalo Lodge was a great place to stay as we were traveling back home to Kansas from Idaho. It was reasonably priced and the rooms were large and had the "at home" feeling.
The only issue we experienced was the Buffalo Lodge is located in Chugwater, Wy which is a town of about 175 people. So there are no restaurants, etc to get something to eat. There was a Buffalo Bar and Grill connected to the lodge, but unfortunately it is closed Mon and Tues (our stay was on Tues). So, we had to come up with something to eat that evening. Pastries, cereal, fruit, and yogurt was offered the following morning. Everything else was wonderful.

Good basic motel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. We skipped breakfast which was basic and all sweet, and ate in the next town to the north.
In Cheyenne for the Rodeo. This was a fantastic, quiet, comfortable stay away from the crowd in Cheyenne. Perfect for our 2 nights ending our vacation. Bed was very comfortable.
Perfectly nice place to stay. Rooms were clean, well appointed. Staff went above and beyond to help us and make our stay comfortable. I would stay there again without hesitation.
WE would like to thank the manager for her compassion and generosity in seeing that we had food as area businesses were closed. She shared her food with us. Such compassion and help was so appreciated. Thank you!
This is a hidden gem. Great place for a stop during our journey. Staff was waiting for us, check-in flawless. Rooms are clean and adequate. Staff recommended the Stampede Saloon and Eatery for supper. Great place, food and live entertainment. All this in a town with a population of 175! We will staff here again.
The lodge is dated. But the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was honey buns, yogurt, and cereal. It could have been better, since there was no other breakfast option in town. Otherwise I would stay again
