Goodbye Hotel

Rooms outdated and over priced for what you got. Should have been minimum $50 per night less. Staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the Hotel is closing in 2 weeks

Great hotel in lovely Whanganui

Probably the most outstanding aspect of this hotel was its restaurant. The food was excellent and the service attentive and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff are helpful and pleasant.

Great location - handy to supermarket, cafes, city etc. Excellent parking. Spacious, quiet room and a very comfortable bed - we slept really well. Friendly, helpful staff.

Super friendly & helpful staff

Great hotel and we will stay here again. Two chairs and a coffee table plus a desk and chair in the room. The bed was a bit too bouncy! (Iots of partner disturbance)

First time stay in this town.

When the weather is cold and wet it is lovely to receive a warm welcome. The accommodation is slightly dated, however it's well maintained. All staff were very welcoming. Nice stay.

Good Place to stay

Room was a decent size and clean, ladies at the front desk were very helpful. Could have a better selection if beverages in the room however they do have a nice restaurant and bar on site, would gladly stay again.

Good place.

Stayed here for two nights room is a decent size and clean, close to supermarkets and city reception ladies were very helpful. Could have more selection of beverages in the room, however there is a restaurant and bar on site. Would definitely stay again

A night away was a very nice room staff were very friendly, good parking, the bed was a1, one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in at a motel, nice and quite I’d stay again for sure. Regards Don Watson

Good, Basic hotel.

This hotel is overall very dated but our actual room (we were passing through so just booked a standard room, I believe there are also multi room suites) must have recently been redone and had nice furniture. The bed was small but comfortable (The bathroom was still very tired and had no power point). It's one of the only places in Whanganui that has a restaurant and bar onsite. The restaurant has an extensive menu but it's priced like a fine dining restaurant! We didn't eat there but The fish and chips I saw being served in the bar looked good. The bar was adequate. A good place to stay if you are passing through or in Whanganui on business. It's a 3.5 star so you that should set expectations. Great wi-fi speed. We actually found the old style of this place an amusing / nice change from the big 5 star chains...but only for a night or two.

Comfortable place to stay.

We were returning guests, having stayed here before. While the facilities are getting a bit tired, they are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant had good, wholesome food too.

Quiet hotel, not far from the shops and cafes

This hotel is located in a nice area, and is quite modern and the staff were very helpful. Car parking was very easy.

We thought the Hotel (not the rooms) was in need of an upgrade/facelift
