We loved our weekend at the Marina Court. First off; the owners are clearly going the extra mile for guests, the work they put in really shows, from the warm welcome to the final settling up everyone working there was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I was hugely impressed with the attention to detail, for example on the breakfast (which was a perfect full English for me) we were looked after throughout with tea and toast coming as we needed and nothing felt like it was too much trouble.
The building itself is a grand old Georgian seaside classic with good spacious public areas all of which are immaculate in decor and cleanliness. Our room was a family one with separate bunks for the kids, and offered just the right amount of space for the boys to horse around and for us to have some separation. Two TVs was a useful touch which meant they could watch what they wanted without us having to go Cbeebies too! Bathroom was pretty small but perfectly adequate. The walls are pretty thin in these types of B&Bs, that's to be expected but I would definitely recommend fitting acoustic underlay and sound panels when the owners next refurbish.
Other things we liked: fabulous sea view. Amazing to just sit and gaze from either of the big windows at the sun rising off the water. Room was very clean, linen nice and the fridge actually kept the beers cold. There's a handy large and well stocked honesty bar plus free parking. Great place for a happy weekend.
