The staff at the restaurant and the valley were extremely professional, polite and helpful. The pools were dirty but that is normal with a large crowd. Food was average for the cost and all the extra expenses were unexpected especially for umbrellas on the beach. The chairs on the beach are in bad shape. Not what I expected after looking over the website.

The property has been maintained impeccably despite being almost 40 years old. The room was very comfortable, roomy and had great air conditioning. Terrace was delightful and kept cool despite 90 degree weather. Very well designed. Room was a bit dark and could benefit from installing some built-in spotlights for those who need more light. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Housekeeping did a nice job cleaning but was inconsistent in leaving basic amenities and sufficient towels. Mayfair Grill service was spotty. My first (and only) dinner featured a hair on my first bite of salmon. Server replaced immediately. Salmon was expertly prepared but much better without hair. I didn’t ask for any comp but expected some kind of consideration, which was not offered. Breakfast was delightful in the courtyard. Sip sip (poolside lounge) disappointed. Music too loud. One of our drinks was poorly mixed (despite being sent back once). As much as I enjoyed my 5 day stay, I think I would only stay on weekdays. Some of the weekend crowd was smoking pot in rooms and terraces, which permeated nearby halls and terraces, and, it seemed, in an elevator, based on stench. I would recommend the hotel monitor and strongly discourage such activities.

The hospitality at this property was outstanding. the only thing I would recommend is a little tender loving care to the property. I know they are actively doing work on property as well. Every staff member I encountered from the moment I walked into the property were had outstanding hospitality skills. I will definitely return to this property as it is conveniently located.
