We have stayed at this hotel many times and this was the first time we had to stand and wait to check in 3 days in a row because there was no one at the desk. There were spiders in the shower and the thermostat was broken in the second room we stayed in, the toilets rocked in all three rooms and we had an unclean toilet (pee all over the seat) and the bathroom door did not latch in the room we stayed in the third day, and they changed the shampoo/conditioner to be a two in one (which is a small detail but a reminder to bring your own for the one reading this). We were most excited about continental breakfast but all three days they ran out of food 30 minutes before the breakfast ended. This was a poor experience and we were very frustrated by the service and cleanliness this stay.

Microtel lost a customer.
The room was in terrible condition. It smelled like dog urine. There was even a wet spot on the floor from urine. The hotel said there were no other rooms to let us transfer too. An employee came to the room and stated it smelled terrible. She very kindly sprayed freshener but every time the furnace kicked in the putrid smell was back. She also reported that 3 dogs were in the room the prior night. The employee also stated she would alert management and have them contact us. Additionally when checking out, I suggested the room be deep cleaned prior to renting again. The receptionist stated a member of management would contact us. No one has contacted me. And no one even asked us if anyone had allergies or other health related issues at check in. Very little sleep and a long way to drive after a family funeral.

Great place to stay !!! Everything from check in to check out was amazing! The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! I was shocked at all the options for breakfast ! It’s about a 6 minute drive to 13th avenue where you spend all your money 😆 I would definitely stay here again !!

We were put into a room with no heat! When we asked to be moved to a different room, the front desk man said they'd have a maintenance guy look at it that afternoon. No one ever came. Great location for what we needed. Hotel was very clean. The pool area on the other hand was kind of gross. Paint coming off the walls and the hot tub was shut down. The chlorine level in the pool was so high it burned your eyes for hours after swimming.

Over priced. Indoor pool & hot tub were closed. The only working ice machine was on the 3rd floor. Our tub was cracked & chipped. Lighting was horrible. Juice machine out of order. Pancake machine out of order. No milk or cereal the second day. Many things in need of repair.

This was horrible from the get go. Checked in to a room that the door wouldnt latch, so they quickly changed rooms for us. I then check my bank account and had been double charged. When i approached the front desk they said oh whats wrong now. So i kindly expained and she said yea that will happen when you switch rooms, theres nothing i can do for you. So all my extra money got tied up in a charge i never should have been charged for and thus ruined our whole weekend. Not to mention i shoukd have never been charged for a second room when i didnt use a second room, i switched due to the safety of our door not latching shut.

I checked in and they were going to charge me more than what my reservation said. I asked why, she said you reserved a single bed and we are out, so it gave you a room with double beds and those are more. Disgusting Pool Area
A wall in our room looked pretty gross and not clean. And the pool room was horrible. One wall had paint/plaster all over the ground, the walls looked disgusting. The the pool was freezing cold. The hot tub was closed and filthy (it was closed a year ago when we stayed with the same sign on it). The shower in the pool area was one stream of water which was like the pressure of a pressure washer and painful for any person or child to rinse off. The temperature couldn’t be adjusted because the handle was broken.

Bedroom was clean but nothing else. Hot tub did not work.
