Really lovely property
We had a really great stay in Wells. The property is in a brilliant location, right in the centre of Wells, yet still very quiet. The property itself is very comfortable and well equipped. Couldn't ask for more. The parking is tight, but if you can reverse, you'll be fine! Highly recommended.

Wells great stay.
This beautiful property is well equipped and at a great location. This is our second time and as it is just steps away from the High Street where all the action is we will be back. The property could benefit from some shelf's in the bathrooms for your bits and bobs.

Beautifully presented ideal spot for a family break
We spent a few nights here over half term, and were really impressed with the location, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Whilst not an enormous property, it had absolutely everything we needed and was extremely comfortably appointed. Others have mentioned the small parking space, which did take a little manoeuvring to get into with our estate car, but still doable. Would like to thank the hosts and apologise for not writing in their guest book, in the melee of packing up for departure it got forgotten, but for the record, thank you, we had a lovely time and will certainly be in touch if we need to stay in the area in future.

A wonderful find
Perfect property in perfect location,walking distance to everywhere. The house was so comfortable and welcoming, we actually opted to eat in twice as we wanted to take advantage of the place. Everything you could need, so clean and the beds so comfortable. Can't recommend this highly enough

4 Active Retirees on Holiday
We had a wonderful stay in Wells. Our holiday included time in the northern region of rural England (a cottage within the Yorkshire Dales) and so the 4 days staying in the apartment in Wells provided us a totally different and delightful experience. We had rented a car which enabled us to easily travel to Wells, but once we arrived, this apartment's location enabled us to walk EVERYWHERE in the area. Grocery stores were a 5 min walk. Owner had manuals for all of the new appliances so we were able to easily use the microwave, oven, and dishwasher. Beds were quite comfortable. The 2nd floor 'shower room' wasn't ideal as the men in the group were too tall to use the facility comfortably, but having 2 bathrooms was still quite helpful and we were glad to have it. The owner responded to questions within 30 min. So much history to see, and we followed Rick Steve's travel guide to find a wonderful hike overlooking the city. We also drove to Bath for a day. And Cheddar Gorge is beautiful. All in all, a GREAT STAY!

Well Located Town House
The property has everything needed for a comfortable stay. A few minutes walk to the High Street with many lovely shops. Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace also a walk away. Highly recommended.

Excellent!
This is one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. It is very spacious and has everything you need. The beds and bedding are wonderful. It is in the middle of a busy city but very quiet. Wells is a lovely place and lots to see. We had a really lovely holiday, thank you.

An attractive house right in the centre
We loved the little house and found it very convenient BUT the parking is really a problem. The architect appears to have imagined that people only have toy cars and parking even an average sizes car is very difficult.

Very Convenient Location
The house was clean and comfortable and the description and photos on the listing were accurate and helpful. We particularly appreciated the location in a quiet road in the center only a few minutes walk from anywhere. As mentioned in the listing, parking needed a little perseverance (we have a Vauxall Astra), but having a dedicated private space in Wells city center is rare and the central location more than compensated.

Perfect Property
We loved our time at 2 Bishops Mews, the property was perfectly equipped with everything we needed, it was a quiet area just steps away from the High Street and Cathedral and Bishops Palace. Definitely recommend.

A lovely house in a beautiful city
The host was amazing with excellent communication and responded to our queries promptly. She gave us lots of recommendations on the surrounding areas which proved to be very useful. The house itself is lovely and clean with all the facilities in good working order. The location is great being in the city and we used it as a base to explore the surrounding areas. It was a really lovely holiday :)

A week in Wells
We were very pleasantly surprised by the space within this property which enjoys a mews style setting just a few paces away from the centre of the city. The open-plan living/dining-kitchen is very much on trend and enjoys a feel of space. Both bedrooms are well proportioned and the property was clean and well presented with heating available if needed but not required during our summer visit. The secure bike store was an asset as we brought two large mountain bikes and enjoyed riding around the area. Above all the convenience of the location was special as Wells is a city which keeps inviting you for just one more walk around the lovely buildings and local businesses.

Excellent location
The apartment was clean and has everything you need, even for an extended stay. We were surprised at the lack of a ‘welcome pack’ or toiletries - it’s worth noting this if you plan to arrive late as no milk, tea or coffee is provided. We have stayed at many properties marketed by another well-known online holiday rental agency and every one has provided a basic welcome pack (some included far more than the basics with wine, fruit, snacks, etc.) and toiletries so we were caught out and had to make a rather unwelcome trip to Tesco (no small convenience store in central Wells). The location is ideal and we didn’t use our car for the three days we stayed in Wells: the Bishop’s Palace, Cathedral, etc. are all a short walk from this mews apartment, as are numerous excellent cafes and restaurants (we particularly recommend Twenty One Cafe for breakfast and lunch and their excellent and friendly customer service). We stayed in this property during the exceptionally hot spell in mid/late July - we know the weather was unusual but an electric fan would have been very welcome!

Great break away, this property was exactly as described and pictured, easy to find and in a great location. There’s lots to do within walking distance and all very possible in these times of social distancing and other COVID precautions.

Lovely Apartment
We had a lovely time at the apartment. It is in a really nice central location close to the shops, restaurants, pubs and main attractions. The apartment is spacious with lots of room and really nicely presented and kept. We had two minor concerns prior to going, based on comments from other people. The first was the parking. The space itself is fine , size wise. We have a new VW Tiguan SUV and managed to park it. Its the maneuvering into the space which takes some time and patience as the space to do it is tight but if reversed in its fine. The second thing was having a double bed only. i would give the apartment 4.5/5 but what would make it a 5 would be a larger main bed (king or super king). The double was small for two grown adults. So much so we had to swap with the kids in the end. overall a nice stay though.

Great location and facilities
Spotlessly clean, good quality and lovely place to stay. Ideal location so close to the main part of the city but very quiet. Wells is a really great place to visit. The parking spot feels a bit tight to get into the first few times but gets easier with practice(!) and is so convenient to have a parking space so close.

Wonderful week in Wells
Wow! what an amazing place to stay & hopefully we will be back in the near future Lesley. The property is of a very high standard & the images online don’t do it justice.The Main Street in Wells is literally a two minute walk away.The included parking space was an added bonus,I have quite a wide car ( Vauxhall Antara ) & had no problem reversing into the space. The farmers market in the city square is worth checking out,we bought some very nice locally produced wine there & also checkout Rugantinos Italian restaurant...the food is amazing!

Perfect location.
Peaceful location yet within walking distance of the cathedral, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. There are also supermarkets within walking distance If required. The accommodation was very comfortable with quality furnishings........felt like home from home. The only negatives were the very tight parking space......took me a couple of attempts to negotiate.....and the angled ceiling in the top floor wet room.......if you are very tall it could be a problem. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend renting this property to visit Wells and the surrounding area. It’s a five star property.

Excellent place to stay in midcdle of town
The property description is accurate, its a vey pleasant and spacious place to stay right in centre of Wells, nicely furnished and fitted out, clean and tidy. It worked really well for just the two of us and felt like home from home. Four people wouldn't overcrowd it (though the wet room is on the small side). Its well located in a mews just off the high street, a few minutes walk from Cathedral, Bishops Palace, shops and restaurants, about ten minutes walk from Supermarket, convenient for everything. The owner communicated with us quickly, clearly and efficiently, no problems at all. There's two flights of stairs to navigate and as mentioned elsewhere the parking space isn't the biggest but we still managed to park up our VW Golf Estate without much difficulty. Overall a very positive experience, everything worked out as we would have wished (apart from the weather!) and we'd stay here again, would certainly recommend it to others.

Super property and great location
This is a delightful mews house, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and well-equipped. The parking space is tight but I managed to park my Ford Focus Estate. The house is in an excellent location for walking into Wells centre and only two minutes for the bus station which we used for a trip to Clarks Village at Street. We were warm and cosy and had everything we needed for our three day visit. Thank you very much Lesley.

3 day break in Wells
Nice modern clean property, exactly as described. Centrally located in Wells, yet quiet. 5 mins walk to Bishops palace and cathedral. 20-25 mins drive to Cheddar gorge. Parking tight squeeze to get in, but does take a family estate car.

Nice Property Great Location
As two retired married couples we found the property ideal for our four night stay in Wells after a day visiting National Trust properties we could park up the car and walk into town for an evening meal. The property was clean and well equipped we only had breakfast in the house. We had been told the parking could be difficult for a large car but we had no trouble parking our Hyundai ix20 in the allocated parking space.

Modern Townhouse in Great Location - 2 Flights of Stairs
Modern, well decorated townhouse. Quiet with private parking. Well furnished, good selection of TV stations. Excellent Wi-Fi. Bathroom on both floors, upstairs bathroom was odd with a severely slanted ceiling that hit me in the shoulder and my wife in the head when we tried to use it. Good washer and full sized fridge/freezer. Downstairs shower was fine with good hot water and decent water pressure. Living room furniture was decent, couch cushions tended to slide forward. Great location right downtown. Despite the few drawbacks, we would definitely stay there again.

Hi James Thank you for your review of our property. The slanted roof in the upstairs wet room is mentioned in the description of the property as it can be a problem to anyone who is very tall!!
