"This was the perfect landing spot for the night during our recent west coast road trip. The host provided clear, detailed information before our arrival and we had no issues checking in late at night. There is no cell service but the wifi was strong and reliable enough to use wifi calling. The next morning we enjoyed the provided coffee sitting outside in the crisp August morning while taking in the views. A luxury we do not have at home in the summer. We would definitely recommend staying here...

Beautiful Cottage in the Heart of the Redwoods

10/10 Excellent

"Wow! Just WOW!!!. This place was AWESOME and Charlene is a wonderful host. This is my third time up to the Orick area and I will DEFINITELY look to rerent this property if it is available. I cannot say enough good things. The location is great. The property is fantastic. Charlene was easy, prompt and HELPFUL with communication. Thank you Charlene!"

Contemporary farmhouse in Redwood National Park

8/10 Good

"This is literally on one of the trailheads leading you to a Lady Bird Johnson memorial. Being from Austin, Tx it was nice to make this connection. It’s a quaint little older farmhouse with hot water and electricity and the comforts of home. I would recommend staying here to friends. Host was quite accommodating when we had to make a last minute change to our booking. This area is close to many beautiful roads and trails into the majestic Redwood National Forest Thank you."

Heart of the Redwoods-Wapiti Cottage

10/10 Excellent

"A lovely place to stay close to all the places we wanted to visit. Even got a birthday morning surprise visit from the elk - quite a treat! Hot water, comfy beds, all the supplies we needed and host even offered additional items since we traveled with a baby. Hope to return again!"

A Cozy Cabin

8/10 Good

"We booked Cozy Cabin for a family wedding near Tish Tang Campground. It comfortably fit our party of seven, and our grandkids loved the game room's arcade games, shuffleboard, and foosball. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of linens were provided, the appliances worked perfectly, and the host was highly responsive. The listing notes no closets or other space for clothing available, so we lived out of suitcases. A few areas need attention:* Exercise extra caution at the raised entry landing. Its curved edge narrows beside the wall before steps lead to the living room. Because the landing, steps, and lower floor share similar brown carpeting, the edge is difficult to see in evening shadows. A guest stepped backward and fell off this narrow corner. Luckily, a soft chair broke the fall. A railing or contrasting edge markings are urgently needed here to prevent future falls.* Not recommended for guests who prefer firmer mattresses. The primary king bed features a memory foam mattress and topper that we found too soft & uncomfortably deep. The cabin's queen bed was similarly soft. At checkout prep, we found 2 pillows were stained.* Primary AC is quite loud. Opening windows worked in the early autumn weather, though neighborhood dogs barked and howled late in the evening and early in the morning.* Kitchen nonstick pans are heavily scratched and need replacement, * One of the slot machines had an out-of-order sign; the other required 25 to use & darts need replacement."

19B Johnny Redwood Single Room at the Meadow Site

8/10 Good

"Pros: Clean and well-kept property. Great location for visiting nearby Redwood Parks. We had several visits from the resident elk herd, which was great! Quiet, pleasant location. Comfortable bed.Minor cons: Very limited space to prepare food in the kitchen area. A couple more, taller glasses would be nice. Bathroom is good sized, but almost no storage area for personal items."
