"We stayed with a group of four 55 adults for a long weekend. The location is GREAT - right off of the main road. If you have stayed at this lake before, you'll understand why that is important - most places are at the end of rutted, dirt roads with SIGNIFICANT hills. We were at Talladega for the race during most of our stay but the guys did get down to the boat dock and fish. We also used the kitchen a fair amount to prep for tailgating meals. The kitchen and dining area are large and inviting....

"Property was clean and provided everything we could have needed; perfect size for our family of five. The view from the deck was beautiful. Location is close to gas stations, a dollar general and a few restaurants, which was convenient. Gloria (host) was very responsive and helpful! "

"Loved this place once before. The dock light, a big reason we returned to this cabin, was unavailable. This time, the cabin was not as clean as expected. We hate to leave a bad review, but it wasn't the best experience. Neighbors also complained about no-wake zone violations; however, there are no signs indicating a no-wake zone. We paid a significant amount to stay for two nights and were just not satisfied. Tried to add pictures "

"Great place to stay on the lake. Very little traffic in cove and calm water. Plenty of room in the house for 10 people. Highly recommend and will look to stay here again if we come back to the area."

"Weekend stay for my mother's 77th birthday. She spent every morning on the back porch watching the sunrise drinking coffee. She handled the steps to water ok. Steps to water much better than many other houses. Love location, covered boat dock was a must for me. Cold ac, great appliances, wifi could have been better. "Family stayed here over Thanksgiving. By far, one of the most memorable stays we’ve experienced in Wedowee. Booked online but seeing far exceeded expectations. Met Brian (Property Mgr) onsite and immediately felt like home! "The home was very beautiful, warm, and well decorated. It had everything we needed. We loved the wrap around porch. We had plenty of room to sleep and sit in the living and dining area. Our family did not utilize the provided water equipment because it rained our weekend. Even with cabins in the area the neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. The host was very detailed in providing check in and check out instructions and very easy to communicate with. We would love to stay here again. "

"This was truly a zero hassle experience with very clean and functional accommodations. The lake is very clean, peaceful, and relatively calm. The shallow beach area beyond the point provides great swimming and the paddle boards are wonderful. The house has lots of space and with multiple sitting areas for multiple groups to sit and hang out from the front living room with a tv, to the main living room, the comforable back porch, the fire pit aream, and even down at the point by the lake. This is our second time booking and we will probably go again! Thank you!"

"This is our third year in a row renting this cabin. We enjoy the quiet and relaxing cove. It is a good distance from the town, so make sure you take what you need. The boat dock is GREAT and accommodates our ski and Jon boat. We bring our paddleboard and enjoy paddling through this cove. The owners have 2 kayaks you can use as well. "

If it was cooler we would have used the firepit-really cool spot. Fans on back porch are nice but, turn them off at night to keep from blowing bugs on you. Restaurants, marina, and town close by. We'd definitely stay there again. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven. It was clean and comfortable and very relaxing. The views were beautiful from every room, and the screened porch was perfect for reading a book and napping. We brought our boat, and the boathouse was nice and accessible. We hope to come back soon!"
