Waterfront Cottage within walking distance to the Beach. A dog-friendly property

  • Sip your morning coffee while watching the seabirds in the cove this light and airy beach home nestles up to. Then spend the day at Ocean Beach (a "Top 25 US Beach" within walking distance) or any of several others nearby. Great house that makes you feel like you’re at home. Peaceful setting in a nice neighborhood. Very short walk to the beach and close to shopping and attractions in the area. Hosts were easy to work with. If I ever need a house in the area again I would rent this one.

We were only at this property for two days while my son attended a nearby wedding. The house was exactly as described and very comfortable for our family (with newborn and dog). The neighborhood was quiet which is nice when you have small children. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to see any of the nearby sites or restaurants so I can't comment on those. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

Peaceful and Quiet getaway near the CT shore

We chose to do a Thanksgiving away from home and this was the perfect spot. My husband, myself, my parents and our dogs had a getaway that let us relax and truly unwind for a few days.

Hidden Gem!

My family & dog absolutely loved our stay. We booked a last minute getaway and the host was over & beyond accommodating. We loved the clean & cozy cottage on the cove! One of our favorite places was the screened in porch that overlooks the cove! Absolutely beautiful! And the short walk to the beach was amazing! We can’t wait to plan our next stay!

Cousin gathering!

We absolutely loved it!! We try to get together once a year (2 of us come from Arizona and 1 from Connecticut) for a relaxing lobster roll/wine kind of time. This was simply wonderful with a delightful cozy screened porch to a living room water view - perfection!! Thanks- we’ll be back!!

Nice house, good location, everything comfortable and up to date! All appliances/TVs etc. in good working condition. Two minor issues: the sheets were very pilly, and the dock is in need of repair/replacement. Enjoyed our trip otherwise

Lovely View

We enjoyed a last summer long weekend near the beach at this lovely cozy home. The living room's full wall of windows overlook a beautiful inlet where all kinds of birds are active on the tiny island right in our view. There is a rustic screen porch that also has the same view. We also enjoyed the updated, well-stocked kitchen. The beach is an easy walk, but also has plenty of parking and lots of conveniences--we enjoyed two sunny days basking there. The first day was rainy and we enjoyed the nearby aquarium. The owner was very easy to contact and very helpful. When we first arrived, a fire alarm battery was chirping, and we were able to get in touch with them right away, and they came right over to fix it. We would definitely stay there again!

Nordic werkend

The total price for less than a 20 hr stay was a little over $800. For that price we had an expectation of a clean and comfortable night. Not the case. We found dirty sheets on one bed and one bed with no sheets. The property owner did promptly send someone to fix the beds. There was food in the refrigerator left by someone. The house had a musty smell throughout. Again, for that price we had an expectation of atleast the ability to have coffee in the morning. No coffee. Even the low end hotels/motels have in room coffee. We would never stay there again.
