"The first unit I reserved had some issues - sliding door wouldn't open and logging into the TV, but the host moved us to another unit that was much better. We didn't know that places would be closed either due to it being off season or Easter weekend. We had to go into Banner Elk to eat and buy groceries. Just wanted to add that for people like us that don't travel to the mountains often. Overall we had a good trip, but I would stay in Banner Elk, Boone, or Blowing Rock next time."

"This is an immaculate home with an amazing view of the lake. The driveway is paved but it is winding and steep—with any wet leaves all wheel or 4-wheel drive is needed.We didn’t venture to the dock as this was a hike but we did rent a pontoon boat from Fish Springs Marina and it was awesome to see the lake from the waterside. Christi our host was quick to communicate and make sure we were settled in and all our needs were met. Very good choice for a quiet retreat!!"

"We absolutely loved our stay! This place was everything we could have hoped for and more. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and sitting in the hot tub and taking it all in was definitely one of our favorite parts of the trip. The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. You can tell how much care and attention goes into making this place special. The only suggestion we would make is adding a TV near the hot tub area, as it would make an already amazing experience even better. Other than that, everything was perfect! We had such an amazing time and honestly didn’t want to leave! We will absolutely be staying here again on our next trip next year for our honeymoon. We highly recommend this Vrbo to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation!"

"The place was great! Beautiful views and the kitchen had everything you needed to cook. We felt right at home. Rooms were as the pictures showed.The only minor complaints are that the house is in a very remote area, with no internet or phone service along the last bit of roadway until you reach the house and the driveway is a bit narrow and better used w an SUV or truck. Although we made it to the house without incident.We would rent again as it was a great long weekend and the host was very informative."

"This was a wonderful place to stay. We had our boat right there on the dock and were able to relax and unwind every day. The views were gorgeous! My girls came up and swam and stayed one night and we grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. The place had everything we needed and more. It rained some but not for long, and we still enjoyed the boat.
