Summary:
Little River Retreat is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath retreat located in a natural wooded setting and backs up to Flat Shoals River. You can hear the river from the house. With no neighbors in sight, you can enjoy a peaceful and private getaway. Within a short drive you can be in the mountains or a hiking trails. So if a river vacation is what you are looking for, we have an affordable place.

Quiet and Relaxing
We enjoyed our short stay. It was very quiet and relaxing which is what we needed. Only issue was that we were hoping to do some fishing but my husband is mildly handicapped so no way he could get down to the river to fish. We enjoyed listening to the river from the porch though.

Beautiful property but poorly ran management company
The property was beautiful but we had no water while we where there. When I reached out to management company they did not apologize or offer to comp us anything for not having water during the stay. I will post screen shots of messages between us. Yes, I should have reached out sooner but as you will see by my messages we did not arrive to the property till late on Friday and had to be out early Saturday to pick up a rental boat. Once out of the property and while on the lake all day I did not have reception to message the property management company. Once I did early the next morning by phone and email, I received an email back from them at check out time. We where already leaving when we received the email. You would think they would at least be apologetic and try to comp a few dollars but instead they insinuated I was lying to them because I did not message them sooner. I understand I should have but under circumstances and location and not having service it was not possible till Sunday morning. She said there was water when the cleaners arrive but that’s impossible because we barely had a trickle of water to do dishes before we left.
