Medium-sized family-run bed and breakfast. Strengths were newly renovated breakfast room, quiet area, lovely fellow guests, nice details (e.g. free apples) and short bus ride to airport (Amsterdam itself is also connected by bus or tram, although journey takes about 45 mins). Rooms, although recently redecorated, are already showing significant signs of wear and tear (I rejected two rooms before an acceptable third was found) as were some of the common areas in the main house. Local options for dinner are also limited. With this being said, overall, it was clean, safe, comfortable and came with charm at a fair price.

We like everything about this hotel! Steps from the train, subway and tram! Imagine it’s only 1 stop from Schipol airport! 5 stops from centraal station if you take the M52. 3 stops from Heineken flagship store and all. Very convenient. There’s Starbucks close by and wagamama the noodle bar and Mexican resto and groceries. The hotel was really nice and all of the front desk staffs are so accommodating and always smiling! Even their dinning staff were nice and have nice breakfast, lunch and dinning to offer. Trang of front desk and another Asian guy front desk clerk were so helpful with all our questions and requests. And our check out clerk, I think he’s dutch, was really nice too and gave us a pen and a tote bag! Thank you all and keep up the good work! Room was excellent, thank you to the great housekeepers, love the hardwood floor and they restock water bottles, juices and beer everyday as complimentary! Which hotel does that? Come on. Also on the top 19th floor they have Hasta La Vista Spanish bar, with excellent food and staff! No wonder this is always booked and sold out! Glad we got this hotel, we’re very happy and satisfied, away from the main hustle and bustle but so close to it since public transpo is just a few steps away. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and families.

The neighborhood is stellar. Right by tram. Bakery a block away. Pharmacy. Small grocery. Restaurants and boutique shops. Bikes available for rent. Issues: Check with Uber on address as hotel is also referred to as another name online. The pictures on Expedia showed a sauna picture.... they did not have a sauna. I blame Expedia but hotels should also periodically check the big booking sites for accuracy. No microwave available to warm up coffee or make popcorn. Did have irons and kettles at front desk. Soundproofing could be better to the outside but ... it was actual construction so extra loud. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Transportation and walkability and cleanliness are my big things. Used to be a travel agent and this one I would recommend. It's not central to things but more neighborhood vibe. to and from the action was just a 5-10 minute tram.
