"Lovely big property and garden, great bedrooms and ideal for large group. Rural setting and seeing the animals was a bonus. Lovely host and would stay again. Enjoyed games room. An extra dishwasher would have been good. "

"The caravan was a lovely size for 4, was clean, comfortable and functional. We didn’t use any of the facilities on site as we were mostly out. The check in and check out was fluid considering the staff don’t speak much English. The area has nothing rally to do so you either need the car or the train to get out and do things. There was also a bee nest around the caravan. They assured us there was no risk but there were a lot over a wide area if this bothers you. We didn’t speak to the owner at...

"A lovely spot and very quiet but within easy reach of various locations property is very well equipped with everything you could need and clean. Hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and helpful and Charlie the dog is lovely would definitely recommend."

"Attractively decorated barn, very comfortable main bedroom, bedding less good in secondary bedrooms. Nice bathroom. Kitchen currently lacking practical equipment (pans, utensils, salad bowl...) but friendly owners seem open to improvement suggestions. Garden is pretty but lacks privacy - there is another rental property on the same site, so garden doubles as their access and parking ! Apparently the owners are looking at changing this. Located in a rustic farming hamlet, no shops or businesses...

Nächster Ort Pernes. ca. 10 Autominuten, etwa 1500 Einwohner, aber 2 tolle Bäcker, 2 Schlacher, kleiner Gemüseladen mit toller Käseauswahl, Bank..............Wem das nicht reicht, fährt noch etwa 10 Minuten mehr nach ST. Pol oder Auchel. Das Haus ist sehr groß. Kleine Kritken, meckern auf hohen Niveau, die Windmühlen in der Gegend, passen nicht so sehr in die schöne Landschaft und sind auch immer ein wenig zu hören. "We stayed here for a friend’s birthday who lives nearby. The facilities were excellent for our needs. The property is very well equipped, and has a great garden with outdoor equipment. The nearby railway line was no problem as there were only about 2 trains per hour. Would definitely recommend."

"Great overnight stop after a late afternoon train from Folkestone. Plenty of free parking on site. Room are basic but perfectly adequate for a night stop on route to Southern France. Has a kettle and tea and coffee facilities. Nice seating area both inside and out for an evening drink. Had a meal in the restaurant which was delicious and well priced. The bar staff and waitress were attentive and engaging. Good night sleep before heading off for an early start so cannot comment on the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. "

"The staff were all excellent, the room wonderful and the grounds pretty - a great overall sense of quiet and calm I did not like the booking experience with Expedia however - the photo linked with the room I booked was not correct and over-inflated expectation. When the hotel realised they changed the picture and offered us a free upgrade"

"We stopped at La Mansarde enroute to a tour of the war graves and memorials in France & Belgium. Our host Jacqueline was an absolute diamond, and what we both lacked in fluency in the native tongue of the other, was suitably accommodated via translation tools. La Mansarde is truly beautiful, very comfortable, within walking distance of fine restaurants and with the most brilliant host. I will stop in five other establishments across the duration of this trip, and nothing else will surpass La Mansarde."
