Danny and Mabel were fabulous hosts from the moment we arrived. We were met with a warm welcome before being shown to our very comfortable room which was beautifully decorated and with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was superb with different options each day. Mabel is a true artist with her delicious breakfast offerings. "Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful clean and tidy room. gorgeous country views, fully enjoyed the "special attention" from our hosts. The meals and service were amazing. Chef "Stewart" cooked beyond perfection! The spa pool was very nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the 5 km trail walk around the property. A very calm, relaxing and safe feeling at this lodge. A highly recommend quiet retreat! Thank you for making our stay so memorable."

"We love Raglan and we used to live in the area. The unit was nice and clean. But we did not like that there were no facilities to wash dishes apart for using the hand basin in the shower room. BUT THAT WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THE TOILET which we did not like at all. In fact in all the motels we have stayed in,for the first time ever we left the dishes unwashed on the bench."

"Our room had a nice view down the hill. Parking was free. Bathroom was small, the sink the size one can sometimes find in a small powder room - definitely too small. At evening time somebody cooked or fried a fish dish and the unpleasant smell was noticeable in our room as well. Unfortunately, it was still too cold outside to open the window overnight. Smelling the fish all night was not great."
