Very mid hotel for the price, was up there for work staff for the most part ate nice people but lots of homelessness near parking lot, light was burning out in the bathroom

No one in reception when want to checkout in the morning, no instructions given to leave the key in the room with a note to refund the DD. Safety Smoke detector was removed from the room. When asked about it the staff said they don’t have one to put. Room not cleaned daily.

Feedback like these give us the opportunity to address areas in need of improvement. We apologize for your experience and for not meeting your expectations during your stay. We have heard your concerns and are doing our best to address them: As is stated on our webpage and on the sign on our door, our front desk office is open from 8 AM to 9 PM. As a result, we may be unable to assist guests at reception should they wish to check out outside of these hours without prior notice. An emergency contact number is also printed on the sign with our office hours in case guests need assistance outside of these hours. In response to your feedback, we have also added notes to remind guests to leave the key in the room along with their email address so that we may use e-transfer to refund the deposit and send the invoice should guests be unable to receive immediate assistance when checking out outside of our office hours. We were alerted of a faulty smoke detector in your room on Saturday evening. Unfortunately we were unable to immediately purchase the parts necessary for its repair at that time as all the stores were already closed. In addition, we were unable to provide you with a change of rooms as we were fully booked at that time. In response to your feedback, we have taken immediate action to fix and reset the smoke detector in the morning following your check out in order to ensure the safety of guests staying in that room. We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with our housekeeping services. We provide simple housekeeping services everyday and strive to provide and maintain a high standard of hygiene. We will double check what occurred during your stay and do our very best to solve this issue. Guest satisfaction is our top priority and we are always looking for ways to improve our services. I humbly request that you contact us directly should you wish to discuss your experience in more detail. I liked the fact that you could go directly into the room without having to go through a public area. With covid, that made me feel safer. I didn't like the fact that the restaurant doesn't open for breakfast until later in the morning as I had to be at work before it opened.

Comfortable but dim
The room was comfortable and spacious. Another lamp to brighten the room on a cloudy day and a couple more plugs close to the bed would have been nice.
