The property needs updating for sure, including the old stained carpeting.
The room and linens were clean, and we had what we needed. We didn't spend much time in the room with so much to see.
However, the hotel had coffee and tea available im the lobby 24/7 but they charged for hot water and of course the coffee. The staff were not overly helpful nor friendly, and many didn't speak English.
We had paid for the breakfast which was quite good. There was alway fresh croissants and buns, and plenty of fresh fruits.

Staff was over-the-top helpful. Charming hotel. Many, many stairs, but this is Amsterdam. Great place!
