Upon arrival the unit smelled like marijuana and vinegar, the floors were not cleaned at all between wrappers, dirt, and not to mention sticky everywhere, turning my socks black within the first 5 minutes, the shower was dirty with hair and blobs of someone’s shampoo or old soap bar, the blow dryer smelled so strongly of marijuana it couldn’t be used. I ended up buying my daughter and I flip flops from a dollar store to wear in the unit and to shower. The dresser in the bedroom had trash in one drawer, lots of dirt in other drawers, the safe was broken, the bedroom lights between the beds had no lampshades just a bulb and only one bulb in one of the sockets the other was just missing. The living room sofa had stains everywhere on all the cushions on both sides, the bedding was two top sheets no actual blanket or quilt. The smell of marijuana in the elevator and stairwell was so strong and unpleasant that my daughter would hold her breath whenever we had to leave our room to get to the lobby.

We had no hot water. They knew about this issue and did not inform us. The smell of pot was so bad, pretty sure you got a contact buzz just from riding the elevator, however, seems to be a popular activity in Virginia Beach.

Hotel was what you would expect from a slightly outdated beach hotel. Room was very spacious. Even thou the beds are not that comfortable . They are on metal Frame boxes. The fridge/ cook top in the room were clean but the actual floor was disgusting. We had to request a broom and mop. We couldn't walk in socks or barefoot as the bottoms of our feet turned jet black. Other than that the place seemed safe, parking was tight but easy and convenient. Very close to the boardwalk and access to the handicap ramps onto the beach. We would stay here again

Dirty bedding, no toilet paper when we checked in, weed smell throughout the property, no housekeeping services any day… you get what you pay for and this place isn’t worth the cheaper rates. We stayed 2 nights then found another hotel on the boardwalk.

Needs some cosmetic work in addition to facilities work. Our bathroom sink was not even attached to the counter. The bedroom had lots of oil stands above and on the headboard from the last visitors steamy encounter.

The room was dirty. The cleaning staff was amazing the manager is a lied about the condition of room to expedia saying we moved furniture when in fact we didnt. We pulled out the sofa bed. The bed itself was dirty and the floor under it was filthy. The manager had the head cleaning lady come clean it and she was even upset with condition of room. She and another house keeper cleaned whole room and apologized multiple times.

If you’re looking for very cost friendly and roomy, this is it. We had a separate bedroom with two beds and a large living room area with pull out couch and room for a blow up mattress, also a kitchenette- small fridge (not a mini fridge), sink, microwave, and a small countertop top double burner stove. But no pots or pans provided, so bring one if you want to cook in. A very small table with 2 chairs to eat at inside or there’s 2 chairs on the balcony with a small side table. Clean but definitely looked like they did a lot of DiY updates without much experience. We didn’t get a daily cleaning so all the sand we tracked in from the beach was in our hallway, we asked for a sweep but didn’t get one, then asked for a broom and were told it was the only one they had and no dust pan. Would be very helpful to have a broom for each room. You’re right across from tourist shopping, a lot of cars/motorcycles like revving their engines or blasting music going by. There was a homeless man settled in right outside the property by the beach security camera (not hotels). An airport nearby or military base kept sending off jets until later at night some nights, so that was fairly noisy. Theres a bike rental right outside the hotel and you are right on the beach. Putt putt golf nearby and I don’t recommend some of the restaurants nearby. We went to the aquarium that’s a 7 minute drive was good. If you can tolerate the noise, imperfections, lots of space, for a decent price. Room 407

After reading reviews both new and old I was kind of scared of what I was getting myself into. We had 6 with us, 2 Adults and 4 kids, stayed in room 311. To address many of the complaints in others reviews we took an air mattress for the oldest boys just incase the Sofa pullout was subpar, much to my excitement the Pullout was in brand new condition, addressing the linens for the pullout we also brought sheets (that’s normal for us as we prefer our own over hotel) so we didn’t have to go to ask for linens and also had an extra sleeping space. For the shower being cold, that too for us was not an issue-we had great water both temp and blow you away pressure. We are unsure of the cooktop-so to answer that question that someone else might have-the cooktop for 311 was a permanent fixture-not removed between guest. We ran to goodwill just up the road and picked up the things we’d need to cook, Dollar Tree for dishrags and dish towels and we were good to go. As for the cleanliness of the room-when we came in there were afew specks of dirt on the floor-nothing to complain about amor ask for another room but enough to be noticeable…. I always take a broom-4 kids gets messy-after sweeping the floor for the first time I understood why and again gave me even more reason to not complain. The noise was an issue in sleeping-but that is not at all because of the hotel guest or management-it is traffic noise, a fan and the air unit in the bedroom was enough to drown the noise.

Aesthetically the rooms looked beautiful, functionally nothing was working in my room including the balcony door not locking, the telephone not working, The Nightshade over the bedroom window was broken. The toilet wouldn't flush and the shower knob was completely loose. The cleaning staff did not offer any housekeeping while I was there for two nights. Overall appearance of the building looks old and dirty. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful, but the quality of guest who stay at this location is very low. Neighbors were very loud screaming and yelling down Breezeway where doors and bedrooms face the parking lot side. Neighbors playing music way too loud during all hours of the night. I only stayed here because of the rate and photos advertise through Expedia. Looks can be deceiving so do your research and read reviews.

The hotel was ok. Space was good. Balcony was a great size. Perfect views of the ocean. New kitchen area. Sofa bed was bad though, very thin mattress on sofabed and dirty with plastic somewhat ripped off. Also there were no bedding for the sofabed. But they did bring us bedding to our room when we called and they were very nice about it. The bathroom was updated, somewhat. Sink was new looking but bath tub was very old and mat in tub looked filthy Also there was toilet paper but no rod to put it on so like it was just Toilet paper roll sitting on the sink next to toilet. Yikes. Another thing was the tv didn’t work it needed a new hdmi cord so we called down for that also and they gladly brought it up and fixed it. So for the price the room was cool. Convenient store right across the street close to everything! Yes I had a few issues but the super nice staff made up for it all in the end.

Toilet stool did not work. Was told someone would be up to fix the toilet but no one ever came. Had to fill up the bathroom trash can of water to dump in the toilet bowl just to be able to flush. Tub had rust on its floor, so I wasn’t able to bathe my babies in the tub. Was also told someone would be up the next day to take a look at the tub but no one showed up. Had to go to service desk to get wash clothes because there were none in the room to wash with. No urgency or care when they were told.
