We have stayed here on previous trips to the island and this is one of my absolute favourite hotels, anywhere, comfortable in all respect’s, understated, unpretentious luxury. Also very close to all that Ponta Delgada has to offer, would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Very clean which is my number 1! Staff are all very nice, especially the cleaning ladies. Breakfast is really good and many options included with your stay. We were upset to have missed it some mornings! Overall I would definitely stay again.

small town with a beach, marina, and a few good restaurants. It is worth visiting for a day or two. short drive to Furnas and the hot springs. The people that we met in the village are very friendly.

Downtown is charming. But don't miss Nossa Senhora de la Paz, high above the town--do that first thing in the morning for beautiful lighting and no crowds.
