"Quirky building hidden amongst others. Beautiful old staircase and lovely open air terrace, which was wonderful to sit in the sun with a beer. Nice clean room. Downside was having to use WhatsApp as a key to get into the building and the room. Clever but as traveling we didn't have WiFi or mobile data and so was forced to use our mobiles abroad and at a cost. Would have preferred a key. "My friends and I had an amazing stay at this lovely house. Especially the outdoor area was beautiful and the pool was great! The house is just a 10 minute drive from a lovely town and shops for groceries. The hosts even organised for us to go horse-riding at their horse riding school which was a great experience. Overall, we loved our stay and had the great time. Eloïse and her father were a great help when we needed it and they were such lovely people!"

"This is an absolutely beautiful hotel in its own grounds within easy reach of the city centre. The grounds are stunning and the buildings are very well maintained yet preserving the atmosphere of the chateau. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, whilst parking is a luxury for hotels in the city, the parking garage is best suited for cars not much bigger than a Fiat 500. It’s very tight but once you get parked, the car is safe. Breakfast on the days of our trip was disappointing. The quality is very good but the eggs were cold, the yoghurt run out causing the team to run out to the supermarket, which also had run out. Only one hot drink machine was available causing a long wait for coffee. This was probably a bad day out of many good days but it took the shine away. Gents, you’ll need good old fashioned tight swimming trunks to use the pool. Alas, at 58 years old, it’s not a look that I can wear well these days, and as such, I didn’t use the pool."

"Parking was easy as the hotel had sent a map - it was underground & free as I booked with Hotels.com. Reception was a lovely lady with excellent English. Our room was spacious and had air conditioning which was wonderful as it was 38c outside! It was very quiet. Breakfast was wonderful such a choice with fresh bread cheeses fruit eggs cereal croissants everything and it was constantly refreshed. Would definitely stay again as good distance from the port"
