Charming and peaceful retreat during a busy week attending the Venice Biennale. This compact apartment had everything we needed, a kitchen with beautiful dishes, glassware, and serving pieces, a comfortable living room and a washing machine and drying rack. Two upstairs bedrooms, each with a small but thoughtfully designed private bath, are divided by a stairwell, providing privacy for two couples traveling together. We didn't use the downstairs bedroom, off the living room, but it would work well for extra guests. The apartment has excellent air conditioning which was invaluable in the summer heat. The only minor drawback, as others have mentioned, was the terrace which would benefit from more comfortable seating to enjoy all the pretty flowers and plantings. The location is fantastic, a quiet residential area steps from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, with two vaporetto stops and a small grocery nearby. Although the apartment is managed by a rental company (which I don't usually prefer), they were a pleasure to work with. They were friendly, professional, and responsive both before and during our stay.
