Visit Nydala Monastery, which was founded by Cistercian monks in 1143 and is now one of the oldest Cistercian monasteries in Sweden. You can also experience the majestic moose up close in Vrigstad Älgpark, try a ride on the Ohsabanan or stroll through the streets of Värnamo. The Store Mosse National Park, the largest contiguous moorland area in southern Sweden, offers unique nature experiences. The impressive, open areas with their beautiful, rugged nature are reminiscent of Lapland in northern Sweden. The park has around 50 kilometres of hiking trails, half of which are on spang (planks laid out on the boggy moorland).
