"Stunning views, nice and quiet. That said, if you don’t like driving up mountain roads then this is not for you. Not much in the local village of Selva so you have to go down to the lakeside to find shops etc. Nearest big supermarket is in nearby Colico. Nearest beach is in Domaso but the beach at Piona in Colico is much nicer for swimming. Main issue is that because you are up in the woods there are a lot of insects. Unfortunately the place has no fly screens or net curtains so you have to close the shutters and the place gets very hot at night. The pools/waterfalls shown nearby are about 400m away. - not really deep enough for swimming but good fora dip.. That said worth a visit. However, the “lower” path which leads to the best pools is a bit more of a trek as the path is quite overgrown and you will have to scramble down some banks. There are markers on trees to help as the instructions provided are not great. Not for those with mobility problems. The Upper path is quite steep but easier to navigate - but the pools aren;t as big. "
