He speaks Basque, Spanish, French, and—good for us—sign language. If this had once been a sheep barn, I would have loved to be a sheep there. "Une belle demeure dans les campagnes basques de Lasse et proche des vignobles d'Irouleguy. Propriétaire très gentil. Propreté exemplaire, de bon confort et bien équipé. Un bon point de départ pour de belles randonnées: Ascension Munhoa, Jara, Arradoy, plus loin Okabe. Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port est très pittoresque, marché le lundi, et le jeudi en saison. Nous sommes aussi allé à la Rhune, Saint-Jean-de-Luz et Cambo-les-Bains."

"Beyond Exceptional! Exquisitely clean, incredibly inexpensive beer prices, super friendly owner, staff, and local patrons. Big room with windows that opened up to the meadow. Food was great!! A must stop from on while on the Camino or in the area. Only recommendation, larger trash can in room :) "

"We had a lovely time staying here, it was for a family get together and we went to various places like the river, aquazone for my daughter’s 9th birthday and Biarritz for the beach. The best of all was the swimming pool which was used a lot by us all. Thank you "

"Extraordinary boutique hotel. We had a delightful stay. The owners show you to your room, are there every day, and offer good sight-seeing and restaurant advice. The room, like all the decor, is lovely, the beds are comfy, and the table on the balcony is great for coffee. There is a coffee maker, minifridge and an individual air conditioning unit that makes any heat wave bearable. There is ample closet space and the bathroom modern with attractive lighting. If you want to eat in, there is a communal microwave and one-pot meals available to heat up. The wi fi works great. It is a pet-friendly place: several dogs were there, including those of the owners. The only possible minus is that there is no elevator and the stairs are a bit steep. Excellent value."
