This Vail landmark appeals to returning guests who like the old-fashioned ambience. I booked it for 2 nights so I could attend the Vail Dance Festival.
The lighting in my room was poor, and the bathroom door did not close all the way. Free breakfast was continental, with no hot options, very carb heavy.
For the Hotel's reputation and the price per room, I felt it was a "meh" experience.
Parking at the Hotel is $70 a day and nearby parking structure was $65. I was able to use the excellent town bus system to park 15 min away for only $35. I realize this is Vail, not the Hotel.
Unloading the car of luggage and moving the car to nearby parking was a hassle. Once you are parked, don't move the car unless you absolutely have to.
